and they each have ganglia which acts as a mini brain for each arm, so they can react quicker to danger even before it reaches the brain proper. Their two big eyes only see in black and white, but they also have cells on their skin that can detect color close range, and then their skin changes color accordingly to camouflage!
Bro just eat them, they're delicious. Don't make me come over there and Homelander you, I'll do what he did to the Deep, I'll make you eat your fishy best friend.
This was excellent. I searched for "anatomy of an octous" and was referred to sites explaining how smart octopuses are or how they achieve camouflage. Your site was what I was after -- the whole anatomy. Watching a dissection was even more helpful. Now I know where the brain is and that the big bulbous thing is not a head. These creatures are so different from us. They are totally fascinating.
Like a week ago, I dissected a squid and in has a feather looking thing that looks like plastic called a pen! If you break the ink sac and dip the pen in the ink, you can write!
I swear when I saw that I thought it was a tattoo. I kid you not, I actually thought it was a tattoo, I stared at the thumbnail for almost a few minutes until I realized it was a real octopus.
Ironically octopuses have MUCH better eyes than we do👀 They can't get detached retinas like humans because ours develop almost inside-out to accommodate all the nerves and blood vessels, which means they're internally unstable (a blow to the back of the head can leave you permanently blind!). Whenever a creationist talks about how awesome human eyes are, they've clearly never compared our eyes to those of other animals' 😁
octopus eating - capture, tear chunk out with beak, rasp the food with it's 'tongue' to reduce the chunk to mush so it can fit through the brain hole to it's stomach.

I'm assuming that the tentacles are just muscle structures with suction cups.
And when amputated, they regrow.

Fun fact (maybe not): some of the tentacles of the octopus is their p3nis
@@pikathechao3701. How does the blood move through the arms? I don’t see any veins, no blood.
@@Chavacandraw you can see their veins, but their blood is blue.
I never want to watch these but I always end up watching all the way through because it's so interesting. 😅
Me either and I always end up watching things like this in the wee hours of the night. 😮😂❤
I used to eat them, but after watching programs that show how intelligent they are, I can't do it anymore!! I would Love to have one as a pet!!!!!😄😍

I’d argue keeping one as a pet is worse than eating it. They kill themselves in captivity due to boredom

0:13 ohhh so that's where they got the peashooter mouth thing
Other worldly biology. They are literally nothing like humans and yet they can think and feel and are highly intelligent.
Damn that thumbnail I thought was a one of those realistic drawing
when nature decided speed is better than defense- squid
Octopus and squid are not the same.
Yeah we know he is just making a joke about how squid are faster than the more intelligent sibling of them
Afterall why do you need defence when you can dodge em all
-the average payday 2 players
Rest in power poor octopus 💔

Thank you for answering my request
And now we wait for the "Uhh, actually it's Octopi 🤓" person to show up.
Yepp, they are the closest thing we have to aliens yet we all think about little green/gray men
because we are too stuck in our illusion of superiority so we think they look like us because we are the best or smth
3:20 Just a bit off the top? yeah *my barber* :
At the end I thought there was going to be a dissection of that cat in the next video when I saw it 😂

Why am I watching this at exactly 2:00 am?
In fact, cuttlefish are like cousins to squid and octopus.
Hmm, this creature kinda like jet fighter for having thrust vectoring too.
a lot of stuff comes through that siphon thingy
Great video
So this is why we dont see agent 8 after octo expansion
You didn't cook and feed it to the cat this time XD
I heard octopuses have a tiny bone in their body. Apparently, it's meant to be the spine. Is that true?
What do u do with these animals after dissection? Do u cook and eat it?
in german, they are called kopffüßler which means head-footer
