I saw them live during their New Zealand tour the year before this ; they put on a wonderful show. They exemplified the 1950’s when I was a kid and I loved their film songs, especially “Woman’s World” and “You Can’t Run Away From It”.Sheer magic.Thank you.
So sorry for people today who may not have been around for this music. After the 60's music simply went in the trash can, not all, but most!!! Just my opinion
Three Coins ..., and Love is a Many ..., are two songs branded on my brain, absolutely love it. Remember hearing those songs when it was out when I was around 5 or so. And I still love those songs!!!!!!
I have just spent the last hour and a half enjoying myself more than I can say. These guys are FANTASTIC. Their harmonies are so sweet, and I love it when they belt out a part of a number or go for it at the end. Are any members of this group still with us? They fascinate me with their ultra-polished stage act, presence, and utter professionalism. l have been looking but have yet to find a book with the USA pop music charts of the early to pre-Beatle days of the first two or two years of the 1960s. A book that details, along with other great acts from that period, the chart positions the Four Aces reached. Is there such a book, a Billboard book? Did they ever do a book on the 1950's. This is my first post on this fantastic page. l am a massive fan of Johnnie Ray, and it is through him that l was reintroduced to other acts of the early 50s. I am 77, but boy, l still love my music, and hitting this page is a dream come true. Looking forward to any replies any of you guys can send me? All the best. Paul.
Sadly, they all passed in the early 2000s, you can find all the information online. I’m very glad you enjoyed this tremendous group. It’s very heartwarming to hear people still enjoy excellent vocal groups of yesteryear, if you follow my screen name, I’ve posted many videos for people to enjoy the fabulous original Four Aces!
also, just so you’re aware, they originated in the early 1950s and continued singing through 1988 They did for a little bit, but the bass singer Lou never left the group and continued with three new gentlemen, but eventually returned when the original group got back together in the 1970s. You can find their charts online but you have to look under the 1950s to find their best body of work.
I was on the show, my wife was on the show numerous times. Al and his producer wife Stella were always friendly, gracious, and always made you feel like they appreciated you being there. If they liked your act, they'd call and ask you to get something together for a return visit. Two genuinely nice show biz people.
Fantasic! Betty and Roz had solo lines here, and in their live version of "That's Life." Sandy and Lois had solo lines in the live performance of "Something"
Miguel Antonio González San Martín, de Chile. "What I Did for Love" is a song from the musical A Chorus Line (music by Marvin Hamlisch, lyrics by Edward Kleban)

That's Al Alberts from WPVI Philadelphia, Al Alberts Showcase!! That show showcased young talent for decades!
I had to watch Al Albert's on Sunday mornings then, if I'm not mistaking, Larry Ferrari came on. On my fave Philly tv station WPVI TV 6.
