That may have been a good snook and redfish fly here in the states. Thanks for the demo.

Great Fly 🪰! I double back to the General practitioner you tied years ago often. One of my favorite flys of all time. Thank you for sharing your talents 👍

When I was in Grantown-on-Spey in 1985 I bought a half dozen Ally Shrimp patterns at a Small Fly Shop that was just opening up. I bought a large fly box at Mortimer's, though I'm not sure if the name is the same. The little shop that was my first stop had a name that had "Angus," in it. I don't think it is there now. It was a pretty Town but the cost of fishing the Spey and the ability to even access the water, suggested a tough place to fish.

Hi Davie, my favorite salmon fly is more or less pretty much the same as you have done here but with a gold body and black hackle. I catch nearly all my salmon on it.

Very elegant fly I noticed that when you tie in the golden tippet you seem to always set them so the bright orange is on top and not all mixed as if you were to roll them in your fingers can you suggest how you go about it mine seem to roll thanks Davie

      Hi soancer,
It swims like a small fish so if you give it a go you may catch one or two trout as I have had trout on it when I've been fishing for salmon..
      All th very best Davie
