Iam 63 years old loved this show since I was a little kid with my dad and then my boys and my grand sons hope this stays on for a long time thanks to PBS please support PBS
I thought we saw you guys talking to Blaine as we drove to our cabin just around the corner from the Marina, Thanks for sharing the best Island the GEM of the Huron, Drummond is Huron Heaven ❤❤❤🌞
Oh how I miss fishing Drummond Island, from the mayfly hatch for herring and whitefish and then trolling for trout and salmon. What an awesome place. I live in Rockport TX now can't handle the cold weather in my old age. Great video
Interesting that they consider 2% return rate good. Not sure what their definition of return rate is or if that's related to survival rate?? Might have to dig into that a little more.
2% is good out of hundreds of thousands. Other fish and turtles take lots of the young ones. Birds like Eagles, comorants and hawks also take a bunch for food too. Fishing takes a large number of the large ones especially in spring and fall.
