  • A bit of an odd one that nobody is going to know the context of. It's from an online story called The Deathworlders set in the Jenkinsverse. The raccoon people are an alien species called Gaoians. The plot reminds me a little of the old Animorphs series but the Deathwordlers is written by many authors, mainly the creator Hambone, and has like a billion words worth of reading content. This animatic combines plot points from one author's series, The Xiu Chang Saga, and the main story of Deathworlders by the original author. Also it's Ayma, not Ayama. Whoops.
If you would like to start reading the series with the essential reading order go here: / essential_reading_order
The main raccoon guy with the white mohawk is Regaari. The two females are Ayma, the pinkish one, and Trymin, the greenish one. The human at the end is Xiu, a human abductee who ends up on the Gaoian home planet Gao. The blue Gaoian at the end has a name I can't recall but it's not important. She is under the influence of the main villain, the hierarchy, who have secretly given the Gao cerebral implants which overtake their brains so they become violent during the war of Gao, but that's spoiler territory.
Anyway, this animatic isn't really cannon as much as it's something I imagined Regaari would struggle with. It was even shown in one earlier chapter when he talks with a human therapist that he struggled with how he handled Trymin's death, more spoilers. Trymin was accidently shot with a tranquilizer meant for a human, which was too high of a dose for a Gaoian. Regaari laments that he couldn't have done more to save her, Xiu, and Ayma at the time.
Big boy spoilers here, much later in the series Ayma would be stabbed with a spear during the war of Gao by a cybernetic drone Gaoian. Neither Regaari nor Xiu would be present to help her. Since the Gao do not do marriage or even lifelong mating, Regaari and Ayma had no official connection. However, human culture influenced the Gao quite a bit and even though their pairing would be considered "swingers" for humans they were as close as you could get to marriage for the Gao.
Like I said, lots of content. There's like 80 long chapters for The Deathworlders alone, not including the spinoff series by other authors. Go read the damn story already so I don't need to explain it.
