  • After 3 years of Covid Lockdowns and airport issues, the mythical island was open! I was on the 2nd flight to arrive singe it opened. The fishing was just out of this world...Bonefish were bigger... Triggerfish were plentiful....Saw a few big GT as well.
Since there was 6 days of fishing, decided to break the videos into about 4 parts. This video is the general trip vibe and day 1 of fishing. The next 3 will cover the hardcore fishing. I'll do one for bones, triggers, and trevally. Please sub if you are interested in seeing those!

Amazing place. Guides say sept October the weather is the best if you’re still looking for a time

The bones are fun but the trevally are what really makes the place.

You can definitely use it..it will be fine for the vast majority of bonefish and flies. You may run into issues, depending on your casting, with the wind. Also, triggers tend to go over the edge or into a hole..so more backbone would help with those. If you have a 9 or 10 I would bring that as well. They always have you carry two rods if you have it anyways. There’s nothing on the island so the other rod can be a backup.
