The challenge: in a five-minute-long opening statement, I had to highlight and summarize why Project 2025 represents Trump's blueprint for autocracy. Here is how it went.

It was a good opening but if it had been up to me, I would have found a way to emphasize the tripartate nature of our government and the separation of powers that made us great in the first place. But I am no constitutional scholar so what do I know? Please take this as it is meant; as constructive criticism.
1. the executive branch is meant to enforce the law.
2. the legislative branch is meant to make the law.
3. the legal branch is meant to interpret the law in each instance.
Unfortunately, we have evolved away from he ideal.
