A year and a half ago I lost everything through my husband's actions.Very narcissistic. I was left with very little money and no car. By the grace of God I was able to move into my sister's home. I divorced him as of April of this year. I have done a lot of extreme shadow work, allowing all emotions to come up and I've done a lot self forgiveness and forgiveness for my ex husband and the situation that happened. I understand he had problems from his childhood and life that made him do the things he did. The biggest way I've gotten through this is by allowing the emotions to come and then purge them, oceans of tears. I know I went through this to learn big lessons,, so I'm moving forward with the wisdom from them. Currently, I'm trying to figure out how to begin the work I'm here for. I have helped people around me work through their traumas by using my own experiences and diving into the shadows and I have a passion for helping others heal. It's definitely a spiral of healing, different levels and perspectives as the months go by.

Sorry to hear you went through the abuse of a narcissist, but I’m glad you were able to work through those emotions. I’m just starting to work through this with my wife, and understand the immense wave of emotions you describe experiencing. I truly do care about her, but can no longer allow her to betray my trust and hurt me repeatedly.
You are amazing for putting in that work to forgive yourself and your ex-husband, even being left with so little after all I’m sure you went through prior to that. Despite feeling betrayed and psychologically tormented from repeated deceit, I have no intentions of treating her like that and want to make sure we both have our individual finances in order when we separate.
Sometimes you just have to protect and believe in yourself, and it sounds like we are learning similar lessons about boundaries, forgiveness, and acceptance among much more I’m sure to come. Stay strong and true to you!
What feels "icky" to me is that I always go deeper and never allow myself to settle on where I'm at.
I'm always seeking another level and it just feels like falling.

Wow wow wow. You haven’t even started the tarot yet and I am so blown away with how tuned in this is to where I am right now. Deep in a well, a pit I called it yesterday, disconnected from myself. I just started working with the therapist trying to get some grief and trauma figured out. My body hurts. Everything aches, I haven’t felt like myself in forever and I keep feeling like I’m never gonna get out of here but I know that once I get through this, I know what is waiting for me. Yes this has been me and my relationship with my family/father who viewed me as kinda competition from his personal tramas in life with his mother. (My grandmother and grandfather) I danced like a puppet for so long being the scapegoat and now I’m saying no more, I definitely get side eyeing and always thrown under the bus but now I’ve done therapy sessions and “digging my way out” torn nails and all… loosing weight because of it I believe.
