6.0 is a good truck but 6.7 is good upgrade.
That's a bummer with the truck, I have a old 03 duramax and just put a new motor in it and it was not cheap, I couldn't see buying a new cat burning piss burning truck ,And When you get attached to your truck it hits hard when some tweeker kills it for you. Hopefully you have good insurance and they make it right for you. The Honda is ripping.

After my 7.3 was stolen and recovered I was the same way Insurance fixed it but I sold it because felt violated and couldnt stand to look at it after they stole everything out of it and I bought 6.7 instead.
More than likely they were going to keep it but the heat on them was to much to deal with
Had my a86 stripped in my own garage I did put it back together even better than it was but just lost the love for it and sold it 😢
Your truck looks like it went to meff mountain for a wedding. The theif had to customize it so it looked nice when he married his sister.

MOTOR ok my question is how much material is above the top ring gland, how thick is the piston deck? from your video I would guess .060-080 my first choice is to cut the pistons, next would be a thicker head gasket. Your a fab guy you don't kits, wrap those parts with 4130 and practice you tig welding like we did long time ago before they had kits. Just a thought. That guy is toast tattoo on the neck he looks like the type that's been arrested easy to find
You should have finished the video by saying the truck is sold. The people who stole now know where it is parked and may come back for it, knowing it has a full built engine!!
