I use continuous rounds technique so don’t need to do slip stitch after each round, this way will make the plushie look better ^^ but remember to mark the first stitch of each round. Slip stitch and chain 1 for every round is totally fine if you’re get used to it, the only difference is the slip stitch of each round will be visible on your plushies make it not looks seamless.

It's 5 double crochet all together, means in same stitch keep working 5 double crochet yarn over, insert hook in stitch yarn over, pull through stitch, yarn over pull through 2 and you'll have 2 remaining then work second double crochet in same stitch but again pull through 2 only and you'll have 3 loops on hook... Repeat till you make 5 DC and you'll end with 6 loops on hook then yarn over and pull through all of them 😊
