I had all of them, but made of a very different kind of plastic, and with odd crazy paint applications. Here in Mexico they were very common in the late 80's. Good nostalgic vibes Andy !
Andy, I had Marx dinosaurs around 1959-1960 and kept them until I moved out. The originals, which I had, were almost all light grey colour. They all "went extinct" at the hands of nephews and nieces. I also had some Marx jungle figures and used to play King Kong, pitting the gorilla against the Marx T-Rex. No one made KK playsets at that time, so I just had to pretend. It's cool to see and hear how much you enjoy them. Keep up the awesome videos.
I absolutely love this story! Minus the fact that they went extinct anyway! So cool to hear though! I definitely don't have any of the Jungle figures but maybe something I can look into in the future!
@@andysdinosaurreviews I just happened to remember that, at the time, I got most of these at Kresge's (pre-KMart) and they were sold in individual bins. So I got a single dino nearly every time we went shopping. Wow, the memories that pop up some times... :)
I have a bunch of those little plastic guys but all mine are in bright semi transparent colors. They were incredibly common in "bucket of dinosaurs" type sets.
I think a lot of these are knock offs of the old Timmee (that may not be spelled right 😅) dinosaur figures. I had a ton of them as a kid and while they weren't blowing anyone's minds, they were more stable and less plastic bits hanging off them. Still a cool little score Andy and always nice to get a few more Marx figures, love seeing these videos 👍
Unbelievable, almost all of them i did have at my childhood and i did do not know that the bootleg vintage Dinosaur what i have at my childhood was bootleg Marks figure (if i do not spell wrong 😅) 😂. At my childhood, i did have bootleg Marks Tyrannosaurus Rex, bootleg Marks Allosaurus, bootleg Marks Stegosaurus, bootleg Marks Triceratops, bootleg Marks Ankylosaurus, bootleg Marks Dimetrodon and lastly bootleg Marks Tarchodon, the duck-billed Dinosaur (once again, if i do not spell wrong 😅). At my childhood, i though that, the bootleg vintage Dinosaur figure what i have was a generic vintage Dinosaur, but it was actually a bootleg Marks Dinosaur figure, unbelievable 😂. Thank you for this video Andy 😄, because this video make me miss my childhood 😊. Salam dari Malaysia 🇲🇾.
So that's the guy who made thoes dinosaurs amazing I never knew someone actually made a series of them and thought they were generic knockoff dinosaurs in a dollar store bag his models look amazing and the plethera of boot leg figures don't touch his like that T-rex man the legs don't look like chicken feet and look good still the classic dezine but not bad I loved thoes dinosaurs when I was young everytime I see the tracodon I get nastalga and still wish it could come back as a real dinosaur again like brontosaurs. Also that's a allosaurs! I thought it was spose to be a iguanodon all thies years lol!
I need these dinosaurs in different colors: -red tyrannosaurus -blue triceratops -yellow smilodon/stegosaurus -black/brown mammoth/brontosaurus -white/pink pterodactyl
You know Marx actually made a really nice looking Unitherium toy that I have and if you’re wondering what this animal is it’s a prehistoric Rhino with saber teeth another thing that’s kind of cool is that we now know the Trachodon is actually called the Edmontosaurus I love this video
I would love you to get a REALLY vintage iguanodon based off of the 1850s reconstruction I’m not talking about the invicta iguanodon I’m talking about when we thought iguanodon was just a lizard that was 21-61 meters long of course now we know iguanodon is 10 meters long

I remember a lot of these figures were boot legged to hell with dallorstore dinosaur toys having mutated dinosaurs all looking suspiciously like these

What kinds of Dinosaur figures are on par with Beasts of the Mesozoic?
I like that to!
I have a lot of these incredibles figures!

I wonder how these were made. I mean why there's plastic chip at the edge of some figure.
The tricodon figure is actually a edmontosaurus
Does anyone remember the green Dino's that were in the Wheaties cereal boxes I think in the late 50s or early 60s?
i have those since a long ago
I like to have more dinosaurs again.

Like the Crystal Palace sculptures? I too would love one of those!
And also a vintage megalosaurus
Before this 73 year old toy dinosaur collector subscribes, you are gonna have to do your homework.
Learning new things every day about older Dino toys. You could subscribe and help me figure it all out!
I find it strange that he uses the word "figures" in this case, because they are literally cheap toys.
?
RUclips can be sooo wierd sometimes
