Most artists bring out stuff that doesn't hit the mark later in their careers. Jeff Lynne is a rare exception. His talent for writing new songs never seems to diminish with time. He's one of the best song writers and artists in history.

saw them in 2019, was in awe the whole time. his voice sounded like it hadn’t aged a minute since the time album, sold out madison square garden, overheard a couple people talking about it on the train ride in from long island. took a couple acid tabs and a good looking older woman tried to get me to dance with her. couldn’t take my eyes off jeff, politely declined. it was a life changing experience.

This is a brilliant, timeless song! I hate when people sometimes look down on ageing musicians and say they should let go already. Why should someone let go of something they truly love and are good at? So much arrogance and lack of perspective in those condenscending comments. Songwriting is a great gift that not many people have. So if you can still produce pure quality tracks like this in your 70's, never stop writing songs !
I am sorry but i never read a comment like that. Jeff Lynne has an awesome voice at his age, much better than Paul, Elton, Robert Plant and others in their 70's. Forbes Magazine called Jeff Lynne's ELO Tour in 2019 the best live act in the world.

Jo Whiley has interviewed Jeff a few times before [after Glastonbury and other BBC In Concert events] and he's always very polite with her, as he is with everyone. The mess she made of the after show interview is already a major concern amongst fans. 'Do you have any hobbies?' she asked. Well yeah...Jeff's 'hobby' is giving his fans the gift of his superb music. Then she wanted to know if he had met anyone famous!!!??? Good grief words fail me!! Then the reference to him 'stinking of whiskey' was unforgivable, she should have know better and awarded him the same level of respect he gave her.
