But he still was able to save his friends by trapping bill back in the nightmare realm. Bill also despite being extremely angry composed himself and went right back to trying to make a deal to escape with audience this time. This is perfectly in character for both characters while with goku vs Superman even if Superman knows they can wish back the universe he still wouldn’t be that destructive since he knows that people would still feel the pain of death. And for Scooby vs courage they perfectly justified why it’s a tie so it’s fine to see it happen since it’s been nearly a decade since the last one. Also I feel that bill and discord’s voice actor’s sounded closer to the real voice actors than Superman and Goku’s. Not saying Michael kovach especially isn’t a phenomenal voice actor but it’s like with the guy who voiced po sounding almost exactly like Jack black.

Also I didn’t even notice in the bill v discord fight how he wrote the letter in advance,nice attention to detail.

It absolutely could. You could paise at any point during the fight and chances are you'll get something you could frame and put up on your wall but that part especially was just... christ it was perfect.
I want to share something. My family has been oddly attached to superhero media all the way back from my grandma's generation. She used to watch a superman show on tv cabins in jalisco mexico when she was young, and love the animates shows that aired here. Eventually she had my mother and uncles, and dragon ball arrived, and they absolutely loved the show. She still watches the retransmissions to his day and even got into watching super. When this episode was announced, i told my grandma about the show, and asked her to watch the episode with me. I genuinly am gratefull for the death battle team to give me the chance to experience something so fun at my grandmothers side. Thank you all.

@mastersword506 no since Ultraman is an alternative Superman, but he doesn't get his power from the Yellow Sun he gets it from snorting Kryptonite like drugs. So there are differences. They are using Superman at his Best Vs Goku at his Best. Which is fair. And if you have an issue with Gold, Silver, Rebirth and so on being combined blame the Comics for making that the case.
There is nothing more Shonin Anime than putting everything you've got into one final assault. It's something that gets me hype every single time I watch it.

Funny thing, both first and third fight had Goku using Kaioh Ken on his last form even when Is not cannonical, but the second fight had Goku SSBlue without Kaioh Ken when Is the only time when that would be not only cannonical, but also a correct guess.
Probably one of the best finishers in Death Battle, Goku Stacking up MUI with Kaioken x100 and his giant form, and Superman going for the world forger punch, like chills literal chills when i see this scene again, amd a perfect sendoff to the most popular Matchup.
To be fair with the All Might vs. Might Guy, Guy used the 8th gate. Their rules are basically who falls first. And if they die after it doesn't matter cause they won.

As much as everyone is hating on the outcome of this episode, lets just take a moment and respect how good the animation was, i think this is DBs best work yet, how far weve come from the old "Deadpool versus Deathstroke" type animation, to this, which rivals actual high budget animated projects in recent years

In the analysis they have done, they have failed in key points that have given Superman the advantage. The first flaw is that Superman destroys the World Forger's anvil and that causes the destruction of the multiverse, not the punch directly. And also Superman infinite frontier who only recovers the memories and experiences of his past lives, but not the feats or powers of the old versions of him.
Death Battle seems to like Superman fan arguments. Both characters can win the fight, but they prefer Superman. It would have been epic if Goku managed to win or even draw. It would have been a tribute to the recent death of Akira Toriyama.
Superman has certain advantages, but Goku, after losing many fights, manages to win after a hard battle. We all know this would be the case.

Regardless, I myself enjoyed this episode for the animation and for the huge respect given to both characters.

Superman has reaches those types of levels of power before, so best Goku could do maybe is close the gap in strength or equal it, but practically is Dragon Ball Law that the stronger opponent most of the time wins and can overpower the other opponent’s attacks… so… if Goku was still slightly weaker, Superman would only have a harder time defeating Goku, but the outcome might end the same way
