Great videos! I have an old MC as well and likely need to do the same on the right side this summer. Do you have a video of putting it all back together and doing the final adjustments?
Do you remember where you ordered that clutch kit? My dad and I are getting a 1957 420 crawler with a model 90 loader to operate correctly, and we're having trouble finding that pressure plate gauge.
Can you explain the adjustment rod length from throwout bearing to steering handle. When I did mine measured the clutch, but bolt is at very end of grove twords bearing. Almost out of the grove. Luckily just enough to still work. Rod is threaded at both ends. Mine is a 420c but guessing yours will be same. Looking forward to the next clip on the 40.
Interesting....now do you have your original clutches or have you rebuilt the clutch? My clutch is all new and the and we had to back that adjustment way off I believe mine is about in the middle of the slot and the rod I got from Jdcrawler parts was already set we put it all together today and everything seems to be perfect I want to do alittle fine tuning let me do alittle reading and I'll do a video on adjustment
@@dirtgrainsteel yeah some people plant it in the winter but some people wait until spring. Cool just thought I would ask because I didn't know how y'all done it up north
I would have to look through the parts book I'm going to say there is probably a detent in a shifter shat that is worn or a spring that holds pressure on the ball that could be broken I've never had the transmission apart on a MC
wonderful job fixing up the MC crawler.
Nice work on freeing up those rusted parts. Can't wait to see it work!
Thank you!....another video is coming soon!!!
That clutch is going together well. Look forward to seeing how she runs. The peanut crop will be cool.
Yes It did!....that videos coming soon!! .....yeah the peanuts will be interesting!!

Very cool. I’ve got an mc that needs a clutch. Very helpful.

Yes I do send me a email dirtworks2008@gmail.com and I'll give you the gentleman's number I got all my parts from
That's quite a clutch setup
Yes it is but very simple
Where did you get the replacement brake rods? I’m working on a MC also. Thanks
Thanks! Super useful information.
Your welcome!

Thx for reply. New disks and fibers. Rebuilt. Service manual did not say length of rod to set at between yokes. Had it all apart for clean up.
Your welcome....do you have a Facebook or Instagram some way i can send you a picture of that adjustment
Sent you a fb message. Thank you
@dirtgrainsteel do you have a video on doing steering clutch adjustment?
Do yall plant winter wheat some times. Or y'all just wait until spring to start planting seeds
We use to plant some winter wheat only about 60 acres of it but we dont do it anymore so now we just plant in the spring

I have a old JD MC crawler.
I use it alot. It started popping out of reverse? What am I looking for, in order to fix it?
