Matt, that bike is jinxed. But you alway make the unboxing and bike test entertaining and informative.
Great review! This is a budget bike. it's great for beginners with big battery without breaking the bank. I posted a single battery review on this bike and compared it to the Ghostcat . Mine had no issues right out of the box. I was told they might have the option to make it to go throttle only to top speed later on. The bike has good hill climbing on throttle only.
I lose all interest as soon as the throttle doesn't give you full speed.
You can install a diff screen and I’m pretty sure that it’ll just go the same speed as the pedal assist or if you’ll mess with the settings👍
Reminds me of the Wallke H9 AWD. Give it throttle and it doesn't engage the motor for three long seconds.
Typically you can jailbreak them to get top speed
It’s stupid as the 48v m20 from about 18 months ago lets you go 26mph on throttle which is the usual top speed for that bike.
However it looks like they’re just trying to follow the laws as best they can as throttle shouldn’t take you beyond 20.

The more I watch this channel, and Ive been watching off and on for 3 plus years, the more Im convinced Matt is just trying to make a living. He is not truly concerned about the quality of the ebikes he reviews or helping people who buy them. Just like any other influencer, he is doing it for the views and the likes.
Many of these bikes/manufacturers have known problems and yet he never, ever really criticizes the bikes or the companies. Even bikes that he does not like personally. At most he will very subtly hint at something just being a little 'off' or something to that extent. He pretty much sugarcoats everything to make the ebike world look like a bed of roses in a supersweet world made for everyone. We all know that is not the case.
Obviously, he doesnt want to offend or discourage manufacturers that send him these ebikes FOR FREE. FOR FREE, yep, thats the best part. Dont bite the hand that feeds you. Matt is deep in the pocket of these manufacturers due to his dependency on getting free stuff. Which he can later sell, to make loads of profit.
Which to me, is not the property/characteristic/nature needed to make fair and honest ebike reviews, as the reviewer needs to be neutral.
So I take his videos with a grain of salt, and for what they are, meant as entertainment, but not for quality review.

Nothing wrong with making a living, but how about a little integrity too. His videos are exact duplicates of all the others - frame by frame. But that’s not my issue. He rarely, if ever, tells his viewers if HE would buy the bike he’s been given free to review. His viewers like his carefree, humorous personality, as I do. But it’s disappointing that he won’t take a stand and really share his opinion on the bike except in the most wishy-washy of ways. I think his viewers want to know more than just the “basics” - they want his honest opinion too. But he keeps any in-depth candor to himself which makes him an entertaining salesperson, but for a more educated buying decision, I have to look elsewhere.
I've bought 2 bikes based on Matt's reviews. It is still a buyer beware market, especially with Chinese Tofu Dreg (shoddy) manufacturing. So yeah, this is not the channel for making your sole buying decision, but watch what he takes out on his own, when he's not reviewing. That tells more of a story. Those bikes are, I've found, a better choice, but still, do some additional research.

I use his videos as a general, really general guideline, and like I said, for entertainment. Dont get me wrong, his videos and presentation style are best fun to watch. It's just not for the serious buyer.
After watching his videos, I find that I still have to do hours of research (depending on the bike/manufacturer). Not that that Im looking for a free ride (pun intended :) ) or that my duty as a consumer to do my own research should be absolved by such videos, no, not at all.
I just feel that Matt could contribute a bit more just by sort of approaching the side of seriousness/integrity more, instead of only fixating on the entertainment side. That way, his content is more balanced and rewarding. He doesnt have to totally go meet the other side, no just approach it a bit more. Add a bit more of neutrality/truth.
But yeah, he's definitely not doing anything wrong. It's what he isn't doing. 😉 And that's providing objective, neutral, fair and accurate reporting. And yeah, his videos are still fun due to his outgoing, social personality.
@@NLkijker I use his videos as general info also, I watch a few other E bike RUclipsrs to. With Matt he test them all pretty much the same, from his videos I can at least tell which ones have more power, better suspension. Climb hills better or go through the sand, and the general range so him sugar coating all of them doesn't bother me because I get the info I want from his test, although him destroying the box opening it is kinda annoying and I sure as fuck don't know how he hasn't been run over by a car yet 😂🤣

Seems the M20 1.0 is a BETTER bike than the M20 2.0. Not often the next model of an ebike is worse than the 1st model.

Maybe I’m in the minority, but I watch ebike “reviews” to help me make a sound buying decision for a fairly costly investment, not for entertainment. Wildly ripping the box open, throwing the tire pump and manual across the room, may be amusing for some but it doesn’t help me decide if i should drop 2-3 grand on a bike that may give me more hard times than good times.
Engwe, Eahora, and a couple of others, are the brands that give Ebikes a bad rep. Surely Matt, you know this. When you “review” them, but whitewash over the myriad problems customers have with them, you aren’t helping your viewers one iota - which is what I thought the main purpose was here. But perhaps I’m wrong. Maybe it IS for entertainment. Truth is, many of your viewers invest their hard earned money in bikes they see on your channel. But if they don’t get the whole truth and end up getting screwed, I’d think you’d care enough to want to know about it.

My Next Purchase will a White Walkie H-7 AWD Duel. Trailer Trips and rips, LoLa dog runs. She's 10, I'm 70. I trust his reviews and listen for subtle indications about his true opinion. I can listen now at 1.25 speed while i cruise link below. He covers all the features and options. I jive with his vibe. Have time for his line. @@noyes-v5b i love his vibe as well but he is just wrong on batteries and understanding of ebikes. to me his videos are great for ride dynamics and just performance of the bike and look. there are three things missing - battery analysis, customer service, and long term performance. not all batteries are the same some have really good cells and other unbranded chinese cells. this is important as both have different performance and longeveity and safety specifications. i would rather buy a 30ah samsung/panasonic pack versus a 80ah chinese pack for example. not that a chinese pack is bad but i would get a big one to make up for its downsides. two, customer service like he is a big influencer so they will respond to him promptly but ive seen horror stories online with no response, no refund for defective bikes. three, longeveity of the bike this is related to the battery pack as heavy use of the battery reduces cycle life. not sure how long you wawnt your bike to last but for me its minimum 2 years. he is reviewing bikes on the first cycle and has no clue of the longeiveity of the pack, motor, or bike.
for you ive heard good things about the Walke and good customer support as well. there are a ton of older guys channels around those bikes. there is also the Luckkeep xp pro 1 that has samsung cells, a bit smaller pack but its samsung. the walke definitely is chinese unrbanded but its a big pack. both companies looks to have excellent customer service. but the luckeep is also just $1300 and very light compared to the walke to me looks very nice. but both good.
personally i just got the victrip surnat for $670 has a chinese pack 32ah. i know its chinese but its cheap and big so i understand and im on a budget if i wasnt i go for the luckeep xp pro1. let me know if u got any questions about ebikes. they are very fun and good. also, you can adjust the pedal assist level to keep you fit. for example set level 1 to some level and pedal and as you get stronger increase it a little and etc. its just not only a moped.

This bike is actually garbage being limited to 20mph to throttle AND THE PAS DOESN’T WORK HALF THE TIME.
Tried to do a return and tried to fix it, gave plenty of evidence saying how bad it is and they STILL confidently said “nothing is wrong with the bike according to the video”
I wont be buying from them again…😅

@@josephpuchel6497 so for someone whos getting into the hobby of riding ebikes, i think this would be a good choice even though everyone else says its a trash brand lol. If i were a little more patient and did more research, i wouldve def go for Ghostcat or Billy Goat.
Distance wise, this bike (or just stick with the 1.0 vers) and Revv are good choices for going long distance. Just be weary with engwe, their customer support is surprisingly horrible lmao.

@@IIVilxzyII duel battery, rear rack, suspension, r twist, rear bolt for axle makes towing easier, would have to buy a third battery and second charger! bad seat on bike. but i'm 70 and 5'10, sit back against back pack on rear rack. hits all my Must Have's at a cheap entry point. the reviews give a 50/50 on brand and bike. my buy at $3500 Walkie H-7 is a plan. the question of truth, ... how, how much, does matt ask for this bike. he's not keeping it!

Engwe sucks, i have L20 2.0, pas and throttle is fighting each other, throttle does not work when pedalling and the power ramp up is slow or fast, mind off its own. Loud motor... stupid bike. Unridable!
