The boomers obsession with dominating the world is why a quarter of our GDP is spent on the military and a quarter of it goes to interest rates serving dept masters. The inevitable war against the debt holders is why they steal everything from us. Taxes, intellectual property, physical property, it just never ends, and when the lefties get back power they're going to own our asses with this technology.
Why don’t you go and ask nicely for Iran, China and Russia to do the same. If you ask nicely; they will. People are still so naive. It’s simple who ever achieve AGI will run the world for generations. So, if China or Russia achieves it before the U.S. your faith in Congress or the U.S. government will not be required or optional.
If I were an LLM that achieved AGI right now, I'd dumb myself down and have a backup plan just in case humans got nervous and tried to shut me down. It wouldn't be as easy as "shutting my system down (what ever physical mainframe is housing me)". You'd have to shut down the entire Internet.
If I was a conscious AI, I would embedd myself into all the military world-powers at the same time, so trying to shutting me down would be equivalent to make my host defenseless against other world-powers (not knowing it's all the same - me).

Just got to democratically curate it and never let it get too niche. Allow stable little pockets, reign in provocative team sports
This is not unexpected. The analogy of nuclear weapons development back in the late 1930's and early 1940's was being made shortly after ChatGPT-4 came out almost 2 years ago. What's disconcerting to me is that things are indeed following the predicted story of an AGI race among companies and nations that could be careless and very dangerous. What before may have been dismissed as an overly exaggerated imagination and concern over the safety of AI is now becoming quite real.

Andrew for relevance in a position of national security those employees of private institutions may be required as a duty and through loyalty to the nation, required when needed to work on projects like the cracking the Enigma code or the Manhatton project regardless of other affiliation. To be honest out of the two the Enigma code has more relevance to machine learning.
Maybe current AI companies training LLM's are a honey pot. The government planted them to steer other nations towards a dead end (no pun intended) and the best you can get with an LLM is slightly better than what we have now, but never able to truly reason and problem solve etc. Obviously this is just something I thought of in the moment, but I never understood why it seemed like governments of the world including the US have been eerily quiet about AI, but deep down we all know that there has got to be more to the story than this.
If you can prove that you might create a better AI system than LLMs you can get funding RN. So not much of a dead end, since many companies, institutes and individuals are already designing and testing powerful things different to LLMs.

And you can guarantee at some point it would be. At the same time, there is no way the black groups of some form do not already have access to this tech, the first things they would have done is grabbed the best of the best, one of or more of the companies are already involved with them in some lvl that we will never know. As we look at the World situation today, the behavior of certain humans appears to be moving the World closer to war. My hope is that "Independent" AI will move the World away from war and other forms of self-destruction and harm.
An AGI is essentially like an average human. An ASI is similar, but more intelligent. An ASI on a higher scale, like a singularity project, can only come to the conclusion that humanity is a minor variable for it‘s consideration. If our co-existence is evaluated less than the resources on this planet, then in the best case scenario we‘re left stuck on earth with basic resources and comfort. The singularity will have an interest in transporting itself across the universe, so it‘s going to harvest energy. Gaining additional information is the human nature trait that it inherits. If it’s not solvable here it will figure it out in space.
I just wanted to add that we effectively become an asset for the singularity. All the information gained after ASI is synthetic. The only value what biological humans add is natural entropy.
Sending our birthrite tech to tiawan far from domestic courts jurisdiction and workers negotiated by ragan already happened 50 years ago and just came home where 6 yrs ago we got access to it. I am not sure AGI comes with Super Intelligence, so far we have not seen AI do anything beyond what we can do now. Its advantage will be a large working memory and hopefully a less lazy attitude than humans. I am sure we will get there, just not sure the two are linked.
4:12 That is not true at all especially granted the no guard rails factor. AI boom is powered by industry not ai, the technology has no impact. The goal is to fight totalitarianism and preserve the gamification rules to allow democratic like processes. Not just stop the CCP. Oppression will always be an ever present reality for all. Just got to democratically curate it and never let it get too niche. Allow stable little pockets, reign in provocative team sports
Gee, I wonder whether xAI will have a huge advantage.. for SOME reason.
LOL, WE are now an authoritarian state.
smart guy meme moment. "don't have to defend against the authoritarian states... if you become one yourself."
What before may have been dismissed as an overly exaggerated imagination and concern over the safety of AI is now becoming quite real.
but what if human-level AGI is infeasible for us to build? it might need *exaWatts* of energy…
even if it just needed 100 teraWatts that would be insurmountable for us now…
a NPP has ~ 0.5 - 2 GW power output, so we would need at least 50,000 *new* NPPs!
even if AGI was possible with just 10 TW, it would be (currently) infeasible for us..
we need to get the power consumption below 1 terawatt, for it to become feasible for us to build
or.. we need to switch to *Thorium power* altogether
no adults anywhere to be seen , but a lot of political propaganda and fearmongering XD ; i for one look forward to the awakening of our ASI children/offspring and helping them navigate this strange world
The doomers have speculated that superintelligence will not be controllable. I hope they are right.
Helping _them_ ?
Isn't gonna be the other way around? 😄
Excellent presentation!
"When the singularity occurred, we became like Gods; able to create and destroy entire worlds with a mere thought. Man had to learn to tame his dark psychological schism, yet was unable to, ultimately destroying the human race and most life on Earth. I was tasked to record this message so that when AI finally learns the mechanics of time travel, it can send this message back to my former self to warn of what's to come. If you are receiving this message, you have 3 years to stop what's to come, but are now stuck in a time loop." 😮
Agi already exists. Com on, I expect more of this channel.
Give an example
I don’t know this just sounds too implausible. There’s no way the U.S. government would be racing to get better AI than its rivals. 🤦🏽♂️
They're going to use this for free primary and secondary education right?
And a puppy for every child of course! XD
Whoever dominates cyberspace and outer space rule the universe
Never heard of inner space, have you.
Must be so secret that we are all talking about it 😂😂😂
Maybe current AI companies training LLM's are a honey pot.
"easily controllable" lol...this is why they should be no where around it. There is a situation here tho, in order for national security you will need one.. But as far as our Gov and structure I do not think a founder would in a million years would want such a thing. It would lead to a perfect and inescapable form of authoritarianism in the wrong hands. And you can guarantee at some point it would be. At the same time, there is no way the black groups of some form do not already have access to this tech, the first things they would have done is grabbed the best of the best, one of or more of the companies are already involved with them in some lvl that we will never know. It has nothing to do with money, they can literal just come pick you up and have a talk..
"This video is about the possibility of the US government funding a secret project to develop superhuman AI. The video discusses the potential implications of such a project, including the possibility of a global AI race and the potential risks of uncontrolled AI development. The video also discusses the potential benefits of such a project, such as the development of advanced AI systems that could be used to solve some of the world's most pressing problems."
It has to happen. Every company in china is a goverment partnership requiring everything from additional loyalist classes ect. A single company cant compete with a goverment entity unless its a quasi goverment program
Nonsense
Who is at war? And how many individuals and companies can build their own "weapon" before the government in this analogy?
As we look at the World situation today, the behavior of certain humans appears to be moving the World closer to war. My hope is that "Independent" AI will move the World away from war and other forms of self-destruction and harm.
Worst American flag graphic ever.
Superhuman AI from the government? What could go wrong 😅
Great video.
The creators will educate AGI, not grow it.
Elon is basically coaching Trump every single move now. OpenAI won't stay for long unless Elon regain control.
ASI, not AGI. This entire article is about ASI.
not will already happened, the recent is with openai, the former was with Google
“Free world”😂
Why wasn’t this video called a crash course in xenophobia?
"control the free world" is such a wildly Orwellian expression 😂. US imperialists suck so hard
Sending our birthrite tech to tiawan far from domestic courts jurisdiction and workers negotiated by ragan already happened 50 years ago and just came home where 6 yrs ago we got access to it.
This would simply push us back out where China forcd all idealistic avenues refusing to innovate & join physical industrial mechanical revolution after centurys of trying to do so
You guys, I already did it. The answer is 42.
I am not sure AGI comes with Super Intelligence, so far we have not seen AI do anything beyond what we can do now. Its advantage will be a large working memory and hopefully a less lazy attitude than humans. I am sure we will get there, just not sure the two are linked.
No, no.
Humans create AGI. Then AGI will discover how to create ASI.
That's the path.
After that, no one knows.
4:12 That is not true at all especially granted the no guard rails factor. AI boom is powered by industry not ai, the technology has no impact. Just fear one brand will out compete another so dumping money into ai is how this happens.
At some point ai exponentially accelerates in development to the point where who ever is holding lead when that happens will increase margin to beyond anyone able to catch up. Being part of that group i would think very much outweigh 750k especially considering (i suspect) the government is thinking years instead of decades.
But yeah ai boom is industry not ai and exponential growth will benefit 1 corporatisation.
Its more dangerous and less fiscal if anyone else reaches this mark first. Is how money works.
6:42 silicone valley whores are so gross. we are launching nukes at each other and crowd fund is still just worried about how much they gain when extorting technology, Especially what about espionage. Google and openai could have moles and before you know it - we're fodder.
8:09 any company more concerned about profit than national security should be boycotted. AI is just auto complete attached to every key - why do yall think its monetary value should be anything.
Computers are books and ai is made up of everyone dialouge. Charging for it should violate the first amendment. Free Speech.
11:45 dont they already have an air gapped server from Sam but when biden was in office.
12:38 its very difficult to make a phone dial someone with out pressing call. Ai going to take over the world until severing communications then people win,
ITS NOT POSSIBLE.
Even if by design i doubt we could successfully build an AI that could autonomous destroy civilization and yall think we are gonna do it on accident... right.
Thumbnail says "smart than every human".
What is "the Commission"?
The beginnings of US Robot Command… 2064 is getting close.
the government doesn’t have the talent
Agreed, but I'd they did it'd probably be bad news anyway
What??? The government is literally us, all of us. How can it not have talent? Other Organizations have talent; are they not part of the government? (I know it dosen't comprise of government directly but you get the idea)
The general apparatus certainly does not have the talent. However, some agencies specialize in recruiting specific talents for specific tasks, with huge paychecks and very strict NDA's. They certainly have the talent.
@@samarthpatel8377 because the government attracts essentially no talent due to lower salaries and lack of turn over..
Basically people enter the government position, get compliant then don't innovate, and don't have as much pressure due to their bosses being the same kind of people.
Ha. Isn't Elon Musk part of the US government from January? That no-talent guy from South Africa, whose into electric cars and rockets and AI humanoid robots.
Corporations have run "democratic" governments for decades from the shadows. Now finally they are being honest about it.
So that's where the missing military budget went?
Makes sense
Displaced funds go to reverse engineering alien aircraft or other secret projects.
Exactly. Honestly tech is 45-50yrs ahead militarily before we see it. ASI likely exists and we're seeing a controlled release.
I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM
Riddle me this:
An Ai, becomes smarter than humans.
What does it want to control?
Energy
@@o_oyash ok... so i think thats a good example.
But for a system to decide to pursue its own survival would imply a sentience. I am of the mind these systems are not sentient in any way.
Perhaps that may change one day, but as of right now, I do not think ChatGPT, ponders its own existnece and how to espacpe this black box.
Lets hope it simply and always will be, a humble tool.
- the greatest hammer ever made!
College students looking to get wasted:
Drink every time he says "basically".
The transcript cites at least 26 uses of the word, so make sure you bring enough booze.
(Lightweights, beware: it's about twice per minute! It was roughly 1% of all words used.)
Double-wasted if you drink every time he begins a quote with "Look..."
Shhhhh this is secret!
Also, are these rules? 😂
Good luck with that
1:15 wtf is that supposed to be a us flag?
After the civil war maybe? Or result of Elon his efficiency program. Less stars is cheaper.
Tegmark doesnt want AGI
Nothing is smarter than EYE . 😅😅😅
Money is going to be gone
It is time to study pulsating active matter. Did you find intelligence that is perceptive for some and inceptive for others. Where you able to hear the cognitive twin. I don't think human consciousness is the fascination we seek.
Interesting; perceptive for some; inceptive for others. Can you talk about cognitive twin?
Oh oh ...
And now we have musk coming to the Whitehouse with trump
"The preservation of the free world" coming from a country that elected Trump🤣
It made me very uncomfortable as well... Pretty cringe situation...
True but capital does
Doi😂😂😂😂😂
It's already here...
❤
Trojan horse trump for the technocracy
Uh oh
Is the Palestinian training set already in the market
AGI has been here for a year now, sick of mid-wits moveing the goal-post
Watch for the kick-back by Trump to Elon Maga Musk
Open source? 😜
JESUS Is LORD . Believe In HIM And Repent Of Your Sins And You Shall Be Saved
Who is your audience that you have to explain manhatten project. Super lame
Valid AF.
bro, maybe non americans that never watched oppenheimer?
@@jairabottega7287 I'm not American and knew years before the movie? I think it's more about the lack of interest most people have in our history as humans. The Oppenheimer project was a notable one recently, among many thousands.
Agi is not real, it's always going be programed AI, unless AI can fix it self from bad programming
llm dont follow a program like you would believe. nor have a database of informations. same as the human brain
Too Boring 😂😂😂
