This is clever! We tried using pal pods but were worried about losing out on hexolite. Will be cool to see which are the fastest/tankiest "medic" pals, and what traits they should have. We cheesed ultra xeno in the cave to dodge the spawns, but we could try to win legit using the pods.

Awesome strategy! If I understand right, the fighting and pod-transporting pals both need to have fire element, because otherwise, the burning pods would burn them? For the pod-transporting pals, I assume all you need are good defense + HP + speed of some sort? Would Swift, Runner, Diamond Body, and Burly Body be good (very hard to get those on Ryu)? If something other than Ryu is viable, they can possibly also get Legend.
For bases with 20+ base pals, I wonder if having passive Shroomers in the raid base would help with the significant Sanity drops, along with 2 blue waves.
@fenilkheni9494 Some effect affect movement speed and it matters on highly mobile raids. Overfull and another one affects hunger, which lowers pals stats and prevents them from refreshing food buffs. You do know that low sanity levels causes sickness, yes?
@@ArcDraws sanity drop from dying and sanity drop from working are different I think. I don't think shroomer affects sanity drop from your pals taking damage/dying
@@spacequack5470 Maybe you should reread that before being condescending. The game description says "placing more than two~". While the work speed says "placing more than one~". Thus my testing of 2 waves. Try being smart for once.
If by "that's what they are for" you're referring to the Pal Pods, they're actually a new tier of bed. This is a clever way to use them, but probably not the intended way.
Thanks for looking into this. I was wondering whether this might be a viable strategy. Any chance you’ve found a source that lists each pals rescue speed? It seems to be a stat, like transport speed, but I can’t find anything that lists them. Maybe it uses one of the other listed stats like slow walk speed?
Would you recommend trying for Double Blizzard Spike or Absolute Frost on the J.Ignises for Xenolord? Or even Icicle Bullet? I'd assume you want Holy Burst/Air Blade/, but are one of the inheritance only moves or a Skill Fruit the best choice for the Ice move?
@@RikkuEcRud Icicle Line and Diamond Rain are good alternatives. We've beaten it with Bastigor's exclusive and learnable moves too. But it's always gonna be a rough fight no matter what.
@Reingnus ohh soo it's even harder... Nice 👍 . Maybe this is to make it endgame only stuff. Probably normal jgnies from egg or wildlife works good enough (4 stared and some souls) till bastigore fight.
@fenilkheni9494 Well, yes. Xenolord raid is the hardest content in the game. If you are having trouble with something like Frostallion or Paladius, you are still far from being at the right level to face a raid, specially Xeno that it's massively strong, one shooting easily any pal that it's not perfectly constructed.
Would be "yignis" rather than "jignis" right? Jormungandr (pronounced your-min-gun-der) + Tide = Jormuntide. The world serpent that can wrap around the Earth and bite its tail. Anyway, looks fun.
Boss size has to do, yes. But because it can also cause paralysis. And no, against Ryu wouldn't be that good since Ryu changes to electric in his second phase.
@spacequack5470 thanks man... Pretty nice of ya to let me know. It doesn't say much about it in game so who knows, but I'm happy you cleared that up for me lol
Jetragons are extremely fast when carrying other pals, I think one defensive jetragon could do the job. On my first xeno ultra kill I had another base setup with pods and just went there to rez my army halfway through the fight.
@spacequack5470 if you are going to be toxic, at least be right, the main reason would be the dark moves, not the dragon moves, and I forgot about that too, not a reason to be a turd about it though, not that you used your brain enough to realize that it was the dark being strong that's the problem either, not the dragon being weak 😅
He does 15, because that is the default settings. Many people (myself included) want to try and beat the game in the way it was designed (aka default settings). He uses non-default settings to expedite the grind, but does demos with default settings for how you could accomplish this. If you PC works fine with higher limits and you don't care about restricting yourself to default settings, it is definitely easier with more Pals

It may, but what for ??? Combat power isn't affected by san levels, only hunger and negative effects(ulcer and shit) affects

Beta waves dont stack. Try reading for once

I can't remember what Pal it is, but they were recently introduced and they put up a shield wall that is really handy to protect other Pals/yourself.
If you're talking about the frontal shield it's Silvegis
Oh wow!! That's what they are for? That's awesome!

Imagin the new pals has one that cam carry unconscious pals faster, or heal them.
do all your raid pals have to be enhanced 4 star?
for Xenolord ultra, yeah probably. for the other raids it's less important
On the frostallion that you used for this fight, did it have Demon God or Siren of the Void?
How about using a water pal for the medic role, so it can put out the fires? Not sure if there's one who's fast and can survive the fight though.
Waste of time. If its putting out the fire, its not rescuing.
@spacequack5470 putting out fires is lower priority than rescuing, so this would just give them something to do while everyone's alive.

I'm trying to get a Jormuntide Ignis army ready, but having bad RNG trying to get Absoulte Frost. Is Diamond Rain a good substitute?
Can Absolute Frost be gained from the new Skill Fruit farms at all? They made Flame Funnel and Holy Burst accessible that way.
currently not, but i can imagine they get released as fruits at some point

Duh
Why is Lightning Streak better than Air Blade for Xenolord, and the reverse is still true for Ryu? Is it due to boss size?
Boss size has to do, yes. But because it can also cause paralysis.
And no, against Ryu wouldn't be that good since Ryu changes to electric in his second phase.
Lightning streak also has a 16 second cooldown, where Air Blade is 20 I believe.
I wonder if research labs attack and defense Buffs affect summon raids or not

Can the pod withstand all of these or will we eventually lose some of these pods?
You will most likely lose some eventually.
Assuming you repair between raids, duh
@@spacequack5470 obviously you goober, i was asking if it can withstand a single raid
Why use Ryu? Wouldn't a higher defense pal like paladius work better?
Use your brain. It and Xeno's moves are dragon type. It obviously takes less damage. He also quite clearly said Paladius is too slow

Oh if pal pods dont get destroyed, maybe base rocket launcher strat is viable again?
Wrong
is it recommended to do it with 15 pals only? is it because of lag issues if its more?
If your pc can handle some stuff then you can also up the settings.
But not everyone plays with custom settings so this is rather for those people :)
