they give every operator lines for attack or defense just in case they need to make drastic changes. take for example, the sugar fright event: they had lines for flashes and frags recorded for every operator. it’s just their way of preparing for changes to operator loadouts

I like to imagine that this update gave him a huge set of balls to act as a counter weight for that huge ass machine gun, and deepening his voice as a side effect of the ball biggening

For those who are thinking "Why there are lines for flashbang, claymore, frag or smoke?". During "operation chimera" (patch when Finka and lion were released) there was a game mode where you can choose Tachanka, Doc, smoke and kapkan as attacker against alien.
When I read how Glaz sketches the R&D personal while evaluating his rifle, Kapkan and Finka being on good terms despite Finka breaking Kap’s nose in response to Kap accidentally slashing her face, Finka drunkenly flirting with His Highness, Fuze and Ying getting into a confrontation over collateral damage, and Harry having to smooth things over with the Russians because none of them made captain makes me want an animation with just the Russians.
If earlier they took a Russian voice actor (which was heard from Russian words in dialogues), then here the whole speech is more like a simulated Russian accent from the movie Red Heat.

He sounded way younger in the original, I actually kind of like this one better. Old Man Tachanka. Still has that same flare, albeit being a different voice actor. Not as bad as I thought it would be.

The og voice actor at least from what i know doesnt actually do proper voice acting, he just did this one role for Siege, so during covid they probably wouldnt have been able to set him up with a home studio if it was just for one role, easier to get a new VA thats ready to go.
I hate how people are complaining that this isn’t the old Tachanka VA. A quick google search shows it’s still clearly Anatoly Zinoviev, Ubisoft wouldn’t just credit the wrong guy. Tachanka is also canonically 48 in the game, of course he isn’t supposed to sound as young as he used to before the rework.
