    I've discovered something of a similar workflow idea recently.
    For the past few weeks I've set myself the goal of producing a track in about an hour each time, from start to finish. One of the liberating things of the time constraint, as you suggest yourself, is that whether the end result is good doesn't matter all that much, more that you repeatedly go through the process.
    By repeatedly going through the process, much like an instrumentalist practises their instrument, you refine your workflow, add new features to techniques at bit at a time, and regularly revising stuff learned earlier.
    If necessary (and with an hour constraint it is often necessary), 'cheat' as much as necessary (though I always aim to be honest about what is original and what is not).
    My first couple of weeks I was just playing with trance construction kits, with zero originality, with the aim of practising basic arrangement and learning what goes where. The overall philosophy is then to focus on improving one particular 5% of the overall workflow, and basically cheating and using shortcuts for everything else.
    Gradually the hope is to then wean oneself off of the 'cheats and shortcuts'. Going from other peoples loops to my own, from other people's presets to mine, doing more and more of my own creative manipulation, and so on.
    But, importantly, always doing things in the context of making a track, with a defined time limit and a rough idea of the endpoint.
    I like your channel by the way.

      Yes I do think it’s alot about practise but also about just sometimes focusing what you know and not what you don’t alreadt know. Finding peice in creativity and having fun with the tools.. without the focus on ”right or wrong” 🙌🔥

    Nice work, to say you did this in around 2.5 hours you have a good foundation to work from.Personally in ultra rare cases if i am lucky and get a track sequenced in say around 3 hours, it still needs mixing and mastering.
    As for knowing when a song is finished? i suppose its raising the bar to your own expectations & abilities of what you would consider worth listening to, but also having the ability to be your own worse critic. When that is satisfied then it's kind of finished. Anyway good work. all the best. 👍

  • @HenningUhle
    @HenningUhle 10 месяцев назад

    To be honest, the track is not my cup of tea. And personally, I prefer playing the stuff myself into Ableton. But I honor the fact that it was a challenge.
    Since I've switched from BandLab Studio to Ableton in May, I've created a whole bunch of tracks. In the backflip I would say, some of them should better have been unreleased on SoundCloud. And some of them will stay unreleased. Due to this I can totally agree to the thought to get things done. Because well, you may filter an idea to your next brilliant track out of those stuff you don't like.
    Btw, I like your way of presenting your content. Thumbs up, keep going!

    Does segue count on a studio album 💿 LNA why does it transfer to one’s song to another and also my cousin Stephanie boyfriend Danny Crooke said if you skip ⏭ a track like sanctify or deeper you won’t be able to find out where segue happens aka continue without a pause happend so my question is do I have to listen 👂 to the whole entire track from start to end to know when will the segue happens and also why is segue is a artistic choice and also why does it furthers the story on a while album 💿 like feeder polythene and foo fighters there is nothing left to lose and also does segue count on a studio album 💿 when song structure aka the arrangement and also the song writing ✍️ aka male story while listening 👂 to a recording studio album 💿?
