- This is the adorable moment two golden retriever puppies encountered snow for the very first time - diving head-first into a seemingly impenetrable 40.5-inch white wall.
Lisa and Rusty Hanafin woke up to let eight-month-old brothers Harry Winston and Louis Vuitton out in their back garden in New York, US, after a snow storm.
The 54-year-old mother-of-two claims the dogs found it so 'wonderful' she could only entice them back inside with some hotdogs.

I will wholeheartedly agree, Golden retrievers are the best dogs ever. I’ve had a lot of nice dogs, but goldens are some thing special.

My dogs do the exact same thing, they are papillon/Chihuahua mixes, so not everything is about size. :)
Exactly I had two toy poodles Shih tzus and they would have done the exact same thing as those dogs did. So her comment about stupid little dogs was just rude

I have Huskies also. Love the snow. They would be outside and not wanting to come back in.
Same with my Australian shepherd. In the winter he only comes inside for bed. But I bet he would still stay out if I allowed him to 😂
The description says they had to get them back in with hot dogs. If this would have been huskies, nothing would have got them back in.
I have Mastiffs and a little dog. Both bark like crazy and love the snow.

No need to swear about "stupid little dogs". I have a 9 year old toy poodle and he just jumps right in the snow like Goldens and it's actually funnier as they have shorter legs. All dogs are gods gift to earth..small and big. Have a good day!

I'm depressed knowing snow is only a month or 2 away for us in Wisconsin :( I'm a southern boy and live with my parents. First good snow is always nice but after that can you know what itself. I hate brushing my car off to go to work, come home form let alone do daily "Existence"
These two reminded me of my cat. She'd do this each winter, just to pick me up from school, or go with me part of the way.

Lady ....I had what you called a " stupid little dog " for 17 years . That little dog showed me more love and devotion than you could think a dog could show. You apparently have a lot to learn about dogs .

They can be great dogs. Unfortunately many times they are not, and even more unfortunate is that a lot of that is on the owner. They tend to be aggressive and high strung, so they need a ton of training and attention for that not to manifest. The problem is a lot of people don't get that, or they don't have the energy to do it

I have a golden named Harley and yup he is fast and loves to run and roll in the snow. He even loves catching snowballs I make and he usually never misses catching them LOL. He rolls in the snow and is smiling the whole time what a nut, but always so much fun to watch. He is a clown for sure always makes us laugh. In Wisconsin trust me we have a lot of snow some winters for sure. If I mention snow his ears go right up like mom you are not telling the truth it's 70 degrees outside...yup I tease him too LOLOL. They kinda are though and I genuinely don’t mean that as an insult. I just mean that they’re literally kinda stupid in comparison to some bigger dog breeds. I still like little dogs though and they can definitely be smart little animals especially depending on the breed but in my experience it seems they take more time to train.

I love dogs of all sizes, my soul dog was a small dog and I have a miniature Dachshund now, and still I snorted and then laughed out loud when she said that. A sense of humor goes along way these days. We don’t have to be offended by everything.

small dogs aren't stupid. papillons (very small dogs) are among some of the cleverest dog breeds.
That’s right! Papillons are THE smartest of all you dogs and the EIGHTH smartest of ALL dogs. I’ve had five, absolutely adore the breed.

I used to say a similar thing about small dogs. Then I got into the pet industry and worked with all dogs…..even have my own small dogs now. A true dog lover appreciates all shapes and sizes.
Well it's not really dependant on breed, but rather the individual. Just like with us people.
My neighbour as a kid had a papillion and when I say that dog was stupid, I mean it.
My childhood friend had a German Shepherd that was dumber than rocks.

Nah, your little pets are terrors and they become someone else's problem a lot of times. They get out, raid the neighbor's trash then try to attack on his property. They make tons of noise 24/7 for no reason, disrupting the sleep of people who work long hours to pay the bills. And worst of all they attack everyone, a lot of the time for no reason. Little dogs are the most aggressive breeds, and while they might not do as much damage as a Pit they still can be a danger

I love a good dog romp in the pow. Makes me wonder when the snow is this high a dog must have to kind of pad down a area to be peed or pooped into. Imagine when your cold af with only a layer of fur to keep you warm and youve gotta stomp out an area of snow to do your busines, it might seem overwhelming!

I don’t feel I would be compatible with a small breed dog because I’d be so afraid of severely hurting them if I tripped over them. The smallest I’ll go is a Corgi. I’ve always had medium, large & XL size dogs in the Labrador retriever, golden retriever and sporting spaniels. 😊❤
