Imagine training your whole life to beat one dude and he immediately annihilates you.
Jack is like get rekt noob
Well that would explain why you were trained since you were born.
That's gotta suck hard XP
The furious five: Are we a joke to you? (Kung fu panda)
Imagine being the ones that got speared in the first 2 seconds.
Hell of a way to meet your girlfriend.
You gotta admire Jacks versatile fighting style. He went from wielding a spear, to a Naginata, to a Butterfly Sword and finally a Kanabo without loosing a step.
There's a channel called The Cosmonaut Variety Hour, and in his review of the series he pointed out something about the fight scenes that made me realize how cool they actually are.
When Jack is against the odds, outnumbered by his foes and unequipped, the room he's in is filled with shadows, causing the viewer to experience the same sense of claustrophobia and stress Jack would feel in that scenario. However, in this fight scene, the area Jack and the Sisters are in is a white field, and white is Jack's signature colour. In this scene, Jack is completely in control, aware of his surroundings, and the Sisters don't stand a chance.
Jack McLean he did it once in the old seasons too vs the Shanobi
I literally just got to this video from the shinobi fight, it's fucking wicked how they brought it back
“I know your art as well, but I’ve been trained to use the LIGHT”
When you realise they are all just charred and straight up naked.
When you realize Jack has more experience fighting naked then all of them combined.
MrOffice i'm sorry what?!
weeboo warlord Yup, they were tossed into a pile of burning coals as kids. So their skin is charred and mostly covered in soot. It was a sort of way for them to learn on how to tolerate pain at a young age.
Hot.
Not my proudest fap
He's been fighting his whole life which is about 50 years. So a couple of kids who trained their whole life (20 years) couldn't stand a chance.
50 years of nonstop fighting, plus his actual 20 years of training before he was sent into a dystopian aku-ruled universe. So what almost 4 times the experience they have?
Definitely the best way to close off the mini arc within the season.
The first 3 episodes of season 5 were just flat out amazing.
If only they extended the last 2 episodes into another 5 or so episodes, you could just feel the rush to end the series
sonic meerkat everything after was shite
then they fucked it up towards the end with that shoehorn romance
@@Xannyphantom905I disagree. The relationship between Jack and Ashi was done good enough.
I personally think it that 10 episodes just wasn't enough to get the pacing right, I would say like 25 episodes would've been perfect.
The pure symbolic art that went behind the first fight with them and this one.
The first was dark with little light, representing both the fact the Daughters had an avantage over Jack, and Jack's lost of "light" or his giving up on hope of achieving his goal.
Here, in all/mostly white, he has regained the upper hand and some of his drive to survive.
Kind of reminds of me the episode with Jack fought a ninja, where he countered the ninja's stealth by literally hiding in the light of the setting sun
Brendan J that’s a brilliant way to look at things
lol shut up weirdo
They waited for him to catch his breath. It seems they do respect him after all.
Maybe they were catching their breath too and the masks just hid it.
Well sure, he'd already killed three of them. That's earned respect.
@@ShadowDurza At the same time, it should've been evident in their body movement.
His guard was fully up.
They were waiting for any opening.
That's why he ran.
I like how this scene mimics that of Jack vs the Shinobi Warrior. Black and white being used to Jacks advantage.
Divine Goku Black that was one of the best fight scenes this entire series gave us and one of my personal favorites I still remember the first time I watched that as a little kid man
He was Keanu Reeves before Keanu Reeves was even Keanu Reeves
And Keanu was a samurai in a movie
*N*

Live action adaptation
Ooooo Keanu as live action Samurai Jack.
@@benjaminwang9267 is it a jojo reference???!?! ¿
I love that in Jack’s monologue they don’t just stand there and be quiet, they interact and interrupt him
"Shinobi. Warrior of the night. Trained to use the darkness of the shadow. I know your arts as well. But I have been trained to use the light." - Samurai Jack vs Shinobi.
If this was an anime, this fight would take 3 months and two filler arcs to complete.
I love how the whole premise of this scene is Jack using his beautiful natural surroundings to his advantage, and wins. The daughters of Aku, who embraced the darkness and destroys the beautiful world, are disadvantaged by what they rejected.
He’s had over 20 years of training and 40 years of actual combat experience.
Of course he would have won.
At 3:08 you've really gotta feel for Jack. He's been fighting for so many years. it's gotta be frustrating.
I know this is a dead horse to beat about at this point, but this show ended better than Game of Thrones
Fuck yeah
My highschool life ended better than game of thrones
@Dauda András The acne on your face was a bigger threat then the Night King.
@Dauda András Haha very good dauda
@Dauda András 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"Our destiny is your death!" I dunno about that. At least ONE of you is destined to make out with him.
@@thakidgaming6435 Not really die, just be de-chronotized, like she never existed in the first place.
ShadowDurza that’s still sad either way :(
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
At _least_ one of them?
Very depressing
Damn, this show had such a strong final season. And this whole set piece exemplifies all its best qualities
Jack Cr I agree
The daughter of aku drew first blood, but Jack will draw last
Frankenstein 4 life spooky
No jack killed 2 before being touched
@@Falloutlover1011 only saw this video
jay pullum literally two killed by spear before he’s hit.
"Perhaps I wasn't clear the first time" was the most luck they were gonna have that day and blew it.
Somebody else notices that all Jack's attacks with blades were aimed mostly for the heart? I mean, it's like he always knew how to kill enemies with a single blow and, despite having tons of opportunities to do so, he never did this... until now.
Anybody who fought Jack and survived is the living proof of Jack's mercy.
As epic as this scene was, I always feel for that damn bird.
Same
Does no one notice that Jack is using the same stealth abilities he used against the robot ninja? Hiding in the light?
I really loved this season as a whole. I never noticed that when one of the sisters died, the others didn’t react. Compared to jack, who killed a human for the first time, and was traumatized. He had regret at taking that life. Even though he had to. It was a phenomenal ending to jacks story
"...I will give you a new choice: leave here now and live. Or stay, and face your destiny."
"OUR DESTINY IS YOUR DEATH!"
"So... I guess you're staying...."
That's chilling. Jack really didn't want to kill anyone else, but he knows that there's no other choice.
Before we get started...
Does anyone want to get out?
A respectable person.
Didn't he think they were just machines and felt horrible when he found out they were humans, hence why he spared Ashi?
Thay have chosen death.
Adult swim was the right choice to air season 5.
CN would of ruined it.
AS should make new seasons of all the shows we've grown up with as kids.
Would love to see a new teen titans season on AS
Spoopi Boi begs the question if the creator Glenn Murakami would have been interested in finishing what he started....
Or avatar the last air bender adapt the search for zuko mother comic book
Rock Marcus that is the true question isn’t it
200th like
you realize the two are the same company right?
I absolutely love the art direction in this show. The designs and colors are so simplistic, yet they make such a striking image.
I love the attention to detail when Jack is running. You can hear his feet pooting against the snow and as he runs on wood you can hear the little pitter patter
2:40 This may look impossible, but after seeing the last episode and the nature of the daughters I´m starting to think that they actually fused into one being.
I love how Jack can adapt to any weapon.... especially the Kanabo he wielded so amazingly
If they ever make a live action samurai jack Keanu Reeves should be that role
Dude I fucking agree with u Keanu Reeves would make a perfect Samurai Jack
Even without facial hair he would make a good Jack
But then you are going to get a bunch of cowardly keyboard warriors complaining that Jack is being played by a white dude. Which is ludicrous because in the cartoon, The Samurai is voices by a black dude.
But Jack’s Japanese
Ramses JFG said on a video where he has a beard
Samurai Jack; "And that kids is how I met your moth.........Oh I don't .... Have..."
It's still weird to realize all of them are naked right now....
When I saw the trailers for season 5 I thought Jack would be collecting and losing weapons before finally getting his sword back. I am still happy with how the season went.
I really wish he kept his motorcycle and guns
kinda wish they had more episodes
0:51 if you look at the weapons it’s almost like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles The two swords are Leonardo the sighs are Rafael The staff is Donatello And the chain is like Michelangelo
1:06 - Jack gon' give it to ya'!
1:14 - Damn right, and I'll do it AGAIN!
I LOOOOOVE ths stylistic animation!!! I love how the snow isn't just "snow", it makes the whole screen/area blank!
Why they the were so effective before in the words of Dooku: "you must have surprise, fear and intimidation on your side
(...)
Only then you will ensure victory, have your trophy"
Given his training and experience, they lost the moment they gave jack a chance to read the situation.
1:40 me when I animate my characters but i haven't drawn in the backgrounds yet
Just wait until Ashi realizes Jack basically killed her whole family
You do realize the show's been over a while ago. Uk AS is just always post clips whenever
Spoiler. Apparently she doesnt give a sh.. about her sisters.
@@SaltHunter Well your wrong she had a mental breakdown before Jack dropped her and while fighting her mother she said it's her fault her sisters are dead (which it is with making them believe Aku is this benevolent being) not Jack.
Ashi blamed her mother for that because she raised them to be nothing but killing machines for an evil entity.
Sure and how her dad killed, enslaved and countless other things of unspeakable evil. Ashi losing her sisters is nothing.
1:55 Jack has the high ground.
Am I the only one who feels they really toned down things from this towards the end of the season?
Like it starts really dark and gritty, then this holy crap, and by the end it's just... well it looses this mature stuff and kinda feels like they just wanted to wrap up things as quick as possible
Yeah. I like the season until ep8. After that its just..... meh. At least it finally got an ending.
Louis Kelemen Fr, it would have been a lot better if they had a few more episodes in between because it felt really rushed and they could have done a lot more with the ending and final battle
@@Josue-xd5ru Very similar to GoT not having enough episodes either, except Samurai Jack turned out far better
This may sound pretentious, but I think that's kinda meant to reflect Jack's journey. Season 5 starts dark, gritty, and mature while Jack is at his all time low. As he makes his way back to being the Samurai, it kinda tones back down to the original show.
As for the ending being rushed, I think there are some things to be said for that. I know a lot of people wanted more time on the final battle, but honestly, once Jack finds out he can go back to the past, he has no reason to stay. Beating Aku in the future doesn't matter.
I think the world going back to normal after Aku's defeat could be seen as rushed, but I think that also is meant to reflect the first episode: Aku's attack and Jack's training is all covered incredibly quickly.
Personally, my only big complaint is how drawn out Ashi's disappearance was. They defeat Aku, prep the wedding, and she doesn't disappear until she realizes Aku is the reason she exists? That felt like lazy writing to get a tearjerker ending. But besides that, I personally think the show did phenomenal.
Same tbh
To put this in perspective, later on we watch Ashi take on an entire army of soldiers. So if one daughter is capable of that, imagine fighting the rest all at once.
While fighting ashi in that state, it looked as if jack could have killed her if he actually had went at her with intent to kill, so my guess is, he could probably stand his ground against all of them if they were all in aku state, but then again, I could be mistaken
I love it was a fitting end for the series. Jack showed kindness to Ashi like he does for everyone he meets therefore she turned good therefore she was able to help him return to the past.
I really appreciate the callback to his fight with the ninja where he uses the light to hide from those who use the darkness.
The artistic background, music adn sound effects are all on point to give just the right amount of suspense and feel to each scene.
Genndy really makes a good team to make every second of each scenario count. It’s like something rarely seen at all in a series
"Sooo, I'm guess you staying?" - Jack I love that part. First time hearing it, send chills down my spine.
Sometimes when I pull my hair back I look like samurai jack and I'll walk around my house telling everyone that I'm here too slay aku
Fucking lmfao
Larry
Is there a neighbor that screams "AKUUUUUUUUUU"?
I'd imagine Keanu Reeves as a live-action Samurai Jack
3:15 break time
1:50,Jack: Enough Six Daughters, I have the high ground!
Anyone else notice the animation error at 2:32?
One of the daughters is holding the kanabo that Jack is supposed to have, then it's cuts to Jack with the Kanabo and when the daughters combine into one, the one that held the Kanabo is holding that spear thing
And the thing that keeps running through my head looking back at this episode is "Damn and all that time the daughters of aku were naked with charcoal coating their skin"
They trained their whole life to beat him but that Samurai didnt give jack shit what a savage
You just made your second mistake.
You stuck around.
2:32 the right daughter has this blunt stick for a weapon, next scene Jack is the one with the stick, next scene the daughters have no stick but spear/naginata instead
Fight scenes have the same element of badass like they did over a decade ago
3:47 it’s over daughters, I have the narrow ground.
It amazes me how much I love the art style of this show.
Season 5 was very good starting off. The last couple of episodes weren’t that great but at least it has an ending. But the start of the season was something amazing.
First 3 were amazing, and 4 headed in the right direction. After that I thought the season felt rushed and cheesy
1:38 This shot right here was probably what inspired Genndy to write Primal
The save point just before the point of no return
E: See, this is why you shouldn't dual-wield sais. Everyone thinks it's cool because Raphael does it and Elektra does it, but when you're in an honest-to-God fight to the death, it doesn't matter how long and/or sharp the middle prong is, you're going in with a pair of off-handed parrying daggers at best. Remember: ninjas didn't use modified farming tools like the sai as weapons because they looked badass. They used modified farming tools because they were _literally farmers,_ and their shitty iron sickles and saws were probably the sharpest pieces of metal they owned.
This is the most sophisticated thing adult swim has ever shown us
3:27 Kill Bill’s running in fight. Awesome reference.
I love how Jack just yeets one off the cliff
And Jack has sooooooooooooooooooo much experience under his belt at this time in the story...😲
The girl on the right at 2:08 changes weapons to the spear. I never noticed this due to the sheer suspense and hype I was feeling when watching this originally
Can't get enough of this animation!
When you have to fight more than one enemy at once in Sekiro
1:11 Quoth the Raven, “Nevermore”
2:33 animation bug, the one, who wielded club died and jack took it, but her companion, who should wield spear, has her club now, after couple of seconds, she has her spear back
I forgot how well done the visuals and cinematics were in this show!
Its amazing to see a show that I loved so much watching growing up as a kid in the early 2000's is now finishing its final season rated m as an adult
This reminds me of the earlier season when he was fighting that ninja in black and white
An error at 2:33 one of the daughters somehow has a club even though jack has it 2:40 iits replaced with a spear.
3:42 Jump Good
Keanu reeves… is that you?
This man spent the whole season wearing a loincloth in snow fields
2:44
I have to agree with Jack on this.
WHAT THE?!
3:07 oops, weird ghost sister appearing on the left for JUST a few frames!
Eagle eyes!
He been fighting literal killing machines his entire life he forgot human people fight too and die
3:46 when the animators run out of scenery
The culmination of Jacks life in the future has turned him into the perfect killing machine
Keanu Reeves is a Living Samurai Jack
47 Ronin!
@@illustriousmonster never
@@illustriousmonster ur saying that cuz you know that Keanu doesn't like attention and fame it just came to be

Honestly the planning of this fight is phenomenal
Sisters: yo yo guys stop he’s out of breath give him a minute it doesn’t matter if his hands are literal weapons
They are all literally naked and are not a bit affected by the cold. That is hardcore.
And kinda sexy 2
4:05 "A true warrior don't need a sword"
“Shanobi I know your art well”
2:40 Demon Aura Nine Weapon Style Asura
It’s a totally different mood having a different camera style that I am digging
While this had good animation throughout, I forgot how good it got at 2:00.
Keanu Reeves as Samurai Jack would be epic.
Back to the past, baby!
You know, if he could 've made them All fall from a significantly high cliff & chain them all...
Ya boi Jack could've gotten a harem instead.
If they made a live action film Keanu Reeves would be the perfect samurai Jack
What if jack just somehow left them and they stood there for three hours.
"They don't know me very well do they" xD
