- On February 21, 2011, I had gotten what I had been waiting a very long time for, I finally got the Circus Train. There was some Snow on the ground when I got there, but it melted rather quickly. SEPTA wasn't having a good day on their West Trenton Line at all, with major power problems at West Trenton, most AM rush trains were canceled, with several deadhead moves running too. CSX was forced to contend with them, so here we go:
7:20 AM -
First up today was an odd move on CSX called X989-21, which was CSX ES40DC 5470 and CSX SD40-2 8131 running lite to Woodbourne, where they would back in the yard and pick-up a unit Windmill Train, not the crew gave us horn from both the 5470 and the 8131. Unfortunately, SEPTA wouldn't let them go by the Wire Train at West Trenton, and the crew timed out. The crew actually came over to talk to us after the Circus train went by, they said if the got moving, they would've given us a horn show.
X989 ?

A SEPTA Deadhead heads west through Woodbourne with a nice mix of Silverliner II's and III's.

The train we all came for comes! CSX P917-21, the RBBB Circus Train, comes east through Woodbourne with CSX AC44CW 210 and CSX AC44CW 76 for power, with a nice horn show, props to Mr. Brown!

11:32 AM -
A somewhat uncommon Q418-21 comes east lite from South Jersey, and backs into Woodbourne Yard for an 18 car pickup. Leading, and providing sole power is another unwelcome blast from the past, CSX CW44AH 598 is the leader, and CSX SD50-2 8537 trails offline.

SEPTA Silverliner IV 445
SEPTA Silverliner IV 374
SEPTA Silverliner IV 375

12:26 PM -
Now 18 cars as opposed to zero, CSX Q418-21 departs Woodbourne Yard with CSX 598 leading.
1:27 PM -
The Circus Train wasn't the only good one today. NS 24K rolls east on the Morrisville Line with NS CW40-9 9510 and NS CW40-9 9620 for power. As 24K rolls overhead, SEPTA extra 51 rolls west, which was SEPTA BL15 51 dragging a dead AEM-7 2303 and push-pull consist west. 51 has a very loud and good horn, not sure what kind though. 51 is an ex SW1200, rebuilt by the Brookville Locomotive Shops.

NS 14G slowly approaches Morrisville headed east with NS ES40DC 7531 and NS SD60I 6750 sounding quite good. A nice SEPTA meet also set up shop, with SEPTA Trains 3447 and 4354 ending the day!

That was my friend's brother , Mr. Brown his brother Tony was with us and it dropped him off- cool brother! at the throttles nice catches dude! i hear its coming back on march 31- a monday. SEPTA screwed up a lot of things! that windmill train was gonna be cool- never got to see it either- suppose to be a NS train with a high hood and another with BNSF power- never came through. kick ass dude!
@Southerntreatment Thanks man, and it was nice of him to give a decent horn show at us and SEPTA is horrible haha.
I can't believe I misse the circus train!! Nice video though!!
America's most fav train... thnks for sharing
@CSX6000 Thanks, Adam, and I know, I'm glad we got it!
I miss my home Ringling red 76 to 84
AWESOME. Too bad I couldnt catch the Circus Train.
Did you happen to notice if SEPTA outbound (eastbound) train 328 made the trip that day? Because I had a holiday from work, I didn't ride that day, but I wondered how my usual train fared with all of the problems. Also, 211 was the 3rd/last car on 328 today (2/23), behind two non-married-pair IV's. 239 & 221 going in the same direction led 371 the previous Friday with a 90xx train at the rear. The 371 cars end up at WT that night. They either spent the weekend there or were used on Airport runs.
Great stuff!
.
@CSXRailfan95 Thanks Kurt, and you'll get you're chance, it comes through a couple more times.
@boberttrain831 Thanks, Bobert, it was a great day!
@rslitman I think it might've, but there were very few trains that ran.
2:14 nice dan!
@CPManJoe Thanks, Joe!
Wow the switch crew must have had to pick up a long train if they used a GEVO! (Or was it an AC4400?)
@GenesisSanctuary Thanks, Rich, and I don't know, hard to decide as they're both firsts.
@GintaPPE1000 The X989 was a GEVO leader.
@KyleVideoDesigns Thanks, Kyle!
@mikeyRavens52 Thanks, man!
@gumball469 Thanks!
@PhantomDrums917 Thanks man!
@trainutjob dude i saw that same csx switchers and train at bound brook hahha!
@aocruiser Thanks man, and yup, I only care about the train haha!
A little help here, please. At about the 11:00 mark. . .the string of cars coming in to view that look like tanker cars placed on top of flat cars. . .exactly what are those called, and what are used to transport ?? Anybody ? ? Thanks in advance. . .
just regular freight cars nothing to do with the circus
@@hrambo2006 Looks like to be Coil cars, used to transport steel coils
Isn't this ex PRR track?
@Tr2u1ck Wow man, thanks for that, really...
13:56 WTF?!?!?!?
@ucvgabe8467 Haha I know dude.
@Tr2u1ck Your bullshit is unnecessary on my videos man, keep it to yourself.
