Now I know the shining hills to the tops of I shall rush. After restavration of little universal mill and 9x20 lathe (done!) you showed me what to learn and what to try. Thanks, a lot of thanks for the esteemed master of steel arts!

      Hi IOpa,
Thank you for your kind and encouraging words. I am no master though. I remain a grasshopper and continue to wrinkle more than my fair share of rice paper.
      Peace out,
      F.C

Really cool project! Somebody would stop in development like 3 episodes ago, but you're doing a great job and continuously improving already a cool machine. Amazing work! I have just started to think how to create this type of gear cutter and this would be a benchmark for me :) Good luck!

So glad that you are ok, and back on this project. (With a Micorsoft account you get space on OneDrive, just drag files to it for backup)

      Hi Gerrit,
Thank you for your interest in this project and excellent suggestion on backing up.

It has been a while, and now we know why!
Is this project heading toward an outcome where we can buy into it and build ourselves one , as I need to cut lots of gears?
If so, count me in, with the proviso that once I retire I may no longer be able to afford it :o)

      Hi Roger,
Guilty as charged. I agree, it's been WAY too long but a heart attack (shiny new stent installed) and, almost as bad, a crashed hard drive (all data lost) slowed me down a bit. The plan right now is to make boards, compiled Arduino software and compiled Android Smart Phone code available. I may also make the source code available so people can add features, etc. People could then work through the schematic, get their own parts and have at it. Assuming one has a Smart Phone, I think the electronics could be put together for less than $150 USD but who knows.
      Great to hear from you,
      F.C.

      Where is your code

    Hello F.C. ,
is this project still alive? I am realy interested on your PCB and Code because I need to make some gears in the future. Do you need a "beta" tester? Or do you need some help in this project? Maybe I could help you out.

Do computers still crash? I thought that now they were flying everything in our skies that they were cras proof. Or was it "Pilot Error" Mr C?

    • @FCleff
      @FCleff  5 лет назад

      Hi SAMRODIAN,
Well, as things go I'm a novice at computers but I'm pretty sure the hard drive seizing up has something to do with it. That said, not backing up was clearly a pilot error.
      Cheers,
      F.C.

@@FCleff MAYBE U SHOULD TRY TEENSY 4.0 INSTEAD OF ARDUINO DUE.....IT WILL TAKE A LONG TIME TO COMPLETE MY SETUP 😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑SO MY PROJECT WILL TAKE A VERY LONG TIME TO REALIZE...((dont have any parts available in my country)) ... SO IT WILL BE BETTER IF U TRY TEENSY AND SHOW US THE RESULT..... THANKS

      Hi Shehan Perea,
Yes, I'm enjoying sharing my project and I believe it is a useful/valuable addition to my home shop.
I share developments as I make them. I hope this is helpful?

      @@FCleffnoI don't think so.
It seems like you don't like/willing to share your project.
If it is not why don't you share it?
Don't hesitate to blame me I just type my thoughts!
