Looks like more fun and sportsmanship than the main Dakar.
I mean, are you surprise ? you are comparing a fun side-raid to a main competitive raid event... For sure when will be more fun and friendship to the other, but that did not diminish the interest in the main race. Just not for the same reason.
Because there's no real competition in this category
@@bordaste sure, competition makes it more serious, but there have been multiple incidents with cars running over bikes. Money and Fame seem to dominate over sportsmanship and human decency IMO.

Watching Dakar Classic is reliving my favourite childhood sport moments. Seeing the DAF Twin Cab Truck from Team De Rooy brings back the memory of watching Jan de Rooy with the DAF Twin Turbo 2 overtaking Ari Vatanen in his Peugeot 405 full gas in the middle of the dessert. Thanks !!!
I visited the DAF museum some years ago, was up close and personal with a couple of their Dakar trucks, amazing;)

Great highlights! Especially showing the racers not normally shown, would be cool to feature more of the privateers and non top tier teams, you would also get the drama your after naturally. This type of video made to be a half hour would be great.

Merci! Grâce à vous, on voit d"autres voitures que celles des favoris. Si on ne suit que les résumés quotidiens on en arrive à oublier que d'autres font , en galérant souvent, le Vrai Dakar tel qu'il était à l'origine.
La 205, le Pajero....on me prend par les sentiments !
Par contre la CX, elle n'est vraiment pas dessiner pour le désert.

The fans helping was cool to see and how the driver and Co driver appreciated the help was even better. If that's not the definition of dakar I don't know what is.

I do not understand why the CX did not use the hydro pneumatic feature to pump the car higher and out of the sand!
Maybe its hydraulics has failed. It was very low.

Tellement mieux que le gros déballage de pignon des proto qui ne ressemble plus à la voiture de Monsieur tout le monde qu'on peut acheter en concession... Dommage de ne pas plus en parler (équipage, spec véhicule, classement ect...)
