I bought one of these about 6 years ago, (age 65) was intending to do a track day, but never got round to it, 72 next year, think I could still hack it in slow group, hope | get chance before its too late.
Friend of mine had the original TZR250(2MA?) and raced it all over New Zealand. When this model (3MA?)came out he bought it and said it was a "puss bucket" and was really hard to ride. I still think it's beautiful though. He paid 10k NZ for it new and crashed it many times. He still races an Aprilia RSV1000 at 50 years old ,while I wobble about on my 1980 Suzuki X7-250. Rock on!
I had one of them years ago. It was not complete. It was given to me after a guy bought it in a crate at an auction and it sat for years in a barn in said crate. By the time I got it most of the plastic body parts were gone and someone cut the frame right at the seat to make it fit the crate. I ended up selling it to a guy half way across the country and shipped it to him. Here in the USA the TZR 250 is a gray bike and was never sold here. The TZ 250 was. My first motorcycle was a 1970 DS6B 250 two stroke Yamaha. Your TZR rocks how fun. My 2003 Ducati 800 was stolen a while back so I am bikeless right now. I need another ZX-11 Ninja
Cracking video lots of fun times,,I had a MK3 Suzuki gamma,, and a tzr but not a reverse cylinder like your one,, I've a K6GSXR 1000 but wee bikes on the right roads more fun,,, 😊☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️ from northern Ireland really enjoyed watching this 👍👍👍👍👍
is it crazy that these are like $12k in poor condition now? im in the states and i know these were never imported here, so i've no idea if that's a good price?
Any vintage bike over 25 years old can now be imported. It takes patience and money to make them right. I have a 1991 TZR 3xv. Tore it down to bare nuts and bolts and a full re-build. My 32 year old bike handles better than anything I've ever ridden.
Imagine owning a 3MA back in the early 90's, aged 17, and living in the Isle of Man. That was how lucky I was.
one of the coolest bikes and you painted it my favorite color, man I need to get a bike. 👍
Wow, what a stunning bike. Man, i miss those strokers.
Whenever I think about my high school days I search 3ma videos…. So glad there are people like you sir.. what an awesome video!

What matter is the engine and its wiring.
The rest can be easily replaced.
