Holy shit. The 49ers not taking OL in the 1st round 2nd and potentially 3rd would be a massive mistake
Yeah Larry's trippin for real
Definitely would take Mims in that mock draft
@@Champ49er facts bruh
@deleonross-jenkins5103 not only Mims I would take Amegadije in the 3rd! We just gotta grab some early OLine help for sure
@@Champ49ermims goes way early before 31 in the mocks I’ve done
Are we really going to keep ignoring the O-line and just hope Trent plays till he’s 40 ?
Your draft is criminal Larry
BBQ smoke getting Larry 😂
Here's my mock draft
31. Tyler Guyton
OT Oklahoma
63. Cooper Beebe
OG Kansas State
94. Josh Newton
CB TCU
98. Maason Smith
DT LSU
125. Brenden Rice
WR USC
132. Kitan Oladapo
S Oregon State
176. Zion Tupuola-Fetui
EDGE Washington
214. Andrew Raym
OC Oklahoma
215. Isaac Rex
TE BYU
Fantastic Mock Draft.
I can see the Niners using their first three picks on defensive line, but it would be so annoying if they did. I know they need DL help, but if they don't take OL with one of those picks, the fanbase will riot.
Not even a good d line class on the whole. Nearly every difference maker in the position group will be gone. If they want to go that route, I hope it's via free agency.
The 49ers picked up Javan Hargrave who is a solid starter. In addition to Hargrave they have Five (5) first round picks on the D Line unit. And those are high first round picks. In addition to that they have Randy Gregory who is a solid back up. If they can't make it with that talent they might as well give up. To add premium picks to that D Line sounds absurd to me.
@@EDHBry
Gregory, Kinlaw, Young, Joseph-Day, Givens, and Farrell are all free agents.
@@EDHBry
Young, Gregory, Kinlaw, Farrell, Joseph-Day, and Givens are all free agents, and most won't be coming back. Armstead will be 31 in November and will likely continue missing time during the regular season due to nagging injuries. Hargrave is underperforming and isn't good in run defense.
Does it seem absurd now that you know those things?
Amen
31. Darius Robinson EDGE Missouri
63. McKinnley Jackson DT Texas A&M
94. Kiran Amegadjie OT Yale
98. Mike Sainristil CB Michigan
125. Christian Mahogany OG Boston College
132. Luke McCaffrey WR Rice
176. Mohamed Kamara EDGE Colorado State
214. Devin Leary QB Kentucky
215. Kyle Hergel OG Boston College
237. Dominique Hampton S Washington
249. Easton Gibbs LB Wyoming
My last Mock on PFN. I would actually take an OT at 31, but I think this is more like what the 49ers will do, given their history.
BCs OFL was legit this year, love those two picks
Your OT from Yale is a good pick.
@@Fonsec-s1z
Yeah, I love Mahogany, but he's kind of flying under the radar at the moment. I doubt he'll be there in the 4th round after the Combine, because teams are going to see how strong he is. They might already be aware that he's one of the better guards in the draft, but for some reason he's usually available in the 4th in PFN's mock. Hergel is a steal too. He was BC's backup center, but they played him at guard mostly, so he offers some versatility. I drafted him here as a center. He pulled a lot and was just nasty and super strong. He's kind of the a poor man's Zach Frazier. He could definitely handle most solo blocks (unlike Brendel), I'm just not sure how smart he is. He looks like a rock biter, but looks can be deceiving. BC isn't easy to get into, so he must be somewhat intelligent.
@@byronsmith3152
Like I said, I would probably take the best tackle available at 31, but I don't think the Niners will do that. And since they probably will end up taking OL later, they'll get more value drafting a high upside guy like Amegadjie and letting him compete for the RT spot against McKivitz. If he wins, great. If not, groom him to take over for Trent in a couple years. I think the Combine will answer some questions about his footwork and speed. Guys who play against inferior competition often appear way more athletic than they really are. I'm a little concerned that he'll be sort of similar to Spencer Burford, another super long armed guy who played tackle in college, but didn't have quick enough feet to play tackle at the pro level. Burford is kind of that tweener where his arms are too long and he's a little light to play guard in most schemes, but his feet aren't quick enough to play tackle either.
Brock Bowers is going to the Chargers
Ignoring the offensive line AGAIN in favor of the defensive line? Not once or twice but three times? Oh, hells no. The three picks in the middle rounds are OK, but the Niners and Brock Purdy don't need just OK to move forward.
Exactly. I hope, I HOPE, they've learned that lesson after losing the last TWO years because of a mistake/weakness on the right side of that OL. Not adressing that early in the draft is just negligence at this point; I just cant see the 49ers not doing anything and everything to protect Brock. They know the value they have now in him after all these years of searching for a franchise QB. The defense is still top 10 even with the DL subtractions due to FA. The OL on the other hand was 20th in pass blocking last season...
Really Interesting draft Larry, I've done a bunch of mock drafts recently and from that I have 2 takes,
1, 49ers are going to move around the board, they had no trades last year, this year I wouldn't be surprised to see at least 2.
2, 49ers do not draft a Corner in the first 2 rounds, the value just doesn't seem to fall to the 49ers picks, and I can't see them trading up for a corner, in fact I think it's gonna be trenches with there first 3 picks.
I think you're right, although I do think they'll take a DB with one of those 3rd round picks.
Yeah I can see that definitely
Larry, you cannot be serious? Sure absolutely, no problem let's rebuild our defensive line.
My Mock Draft :
#31 - Kingsley Suamataia
#63 - Kris Jenkins Jr.
#94- Cam Hart
#98 - Junior Colson
#125 - Isaiah Adams
I couldn't follow the rest, but I went with who was available according to your board. And that's what I would do.
I say this with the utmost respect again, but like your last mock draft, you have reached for players. You reached at nearly every pick.
The 49ers will more than likely bring Kinlaw, Young and Ferrell back, meaning that they have 1 D Line position to fill. O Line is the priority. Using the exact same mock draft simulator I drafted.
1st Tyler Guyton Offensive Tackle Oklahoma
2nd Sedrick Van Pran Center Georgia
3rd Maason Smith Defensive Tackle LSU
3rd Mike Sainristil Cornerback Michigan
4th Marist Liufau Linebacker Notre Dame
4th Tykee Smith Safety Georgia
5th Joe Milton Quarterback Tennessee
6th Mason McComick Offensive Guard South Dakota State
6th Mark Perry Safety TCU
7th Andy Dalton Trade 7th this year and 6th next year
7th Zion Nelson Offensive Tackle Miami
The 49ers currently have Five (5) 1st round draft picks on their D Line. That does NOT include other defensive linemen they have like Starter Javon Hargrave. Randy Gregory is not bad either.
Their defense was not able to stay in sync all year due to the DC in my opinion. Steve Wilks has been fired or let go in short order everywhere he has gone. Anyone can look it up.
This team needs O-Line help first and second.
These goofs keep investing in defensive line and can't figure out why we keep coming short
Purdy gets injured. Go's down . Season is over PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pretty much the same can be said for any team, look at this past year as a good example, several teams lost their starting QB. What if KC loses Mahomes, Rams lose Stafford, Look at Burrow and the effect it had on Cincy this year.
I am with you on the first two picks. The next two have to be offensive linemen. Christian Mahogany (guard) and Christian Jones (tackle) Neither of which will be there at pick 125. Take a wide receiver at 12 (Ricky Pearsall would be nice). At 132 take Renardo Green CB (because he is not the secret you think he is) At 176 take Omar Speights LB. Then at the end of the draft maybe take Eguakun (center) Span Ford (tight end) Guerendo ( running back) Which leaves one pick. I like Jason Bean a QB from Kansas, Of all these that you might have questions about i suggest you watch any videos of the Texas tackle Christian Jones and watch the video of Jason Bean torching Oklahoma. Unless you draft a LB earlier Omar Speights is as close as you will get to Dre Greenlaw.
Yes I know Zinter got injured. By all accounts he's supposed to be ready by the beginning of next season. Or sooner?
kreug should do a mock 3.0 after the 3rd day of fa
Well good thing Larry isn’t the actual gm ❤️
Krueger sounds like the niners first 2 picks DL then oL then say they need more pass rush and chose another DL smh
The Mock Drafts are interesting & fun!
Thats why we MUST go up for Fuaga or Latham! Not just sit and pray lord they fall to us at 31..................
Yeah Larry they’re not taking 3 dlineman before a tackle
Let's hope Lynch isn't thinking this way on draft day
You don't go Ol in 5th round. Top Ol are drafted in the first two rounds. You might find a gem afterwards, but thats rare
Nice one Larry. A little surprised you didn't take a QB late. Kinda like Leary out of UK or Travis at FSU. I think we can get by without that blue chip, early round OL, but that will be the criticism, that we didn't take one. I hear you though. Sleeper pick TE may be McLachlan out of Arizona. He's not Gronk, but his film shows him hurdling DBs regularly.
Leary is the guy, I think. He's not quite as quick as Brock, nor is he as elite of a processor, but he's definitely similar in many ways. He's about the same size and has similar arm talent. Super accurate, and I also noticed in his highlights that most of them were from play action or from under center (or both). So he's clearly comfortable working from that base.
Larry 49ers are still in position to take the best player at 31 Cooper Texas A&M linebacker he's a freak plus Greenlaw might not be back until the end of the season
They're not Larrry. That's why top ol our drafted in the first two rounds
After this 2nd round "pick", I was out.
We need O Linemen.
No more to listen to.
I hope they don't draft like this , but I can definitely see the war room doing it. Imagine a Staley DC hire and ignoring O line until later 🤦🏾♂️
I'm drafting 5 OL hoping 2 of them become starters to hell with the rest of the team I'm sick of that OL lmao
Larry if they wait past the third round to pick an offensive lineman, I’m blaming you…. 🤬🤔🙄
Lowry...I'm pretty sure they're going to use one of those 7th round picks on a third string QB.
This guy discusses how the niners need help on the oline, and you avoid drafting an olineman in the first 2 rounds smh…
Milton is from Fresno and he won't be there in the 7th round. He produced at UGA
The 1st three picks to start the draft will be QBs. #bookit
I would go Amarius Mims
Take Adarius Mims all day at 31
Nah Larry is high unless we get Trent brown in free agency
Washington is 5th round pick
Jarrian Jones from Florida state is better than Green Niner gotta get him
Sorry Larry I puked at first pick. I’m sick of the 9ner not investing in the oline and only investing in the line. Over it
I don't see a point of doing mock drafts other than having something to say when there isn't much NFL news to discuss. Essentially ALL mock drafts are pointless and useless.
They never account for trades, and every single draft has trades; teams move all around the draft board or take us, the Niners as an example. We may not stay at 31, but we may move up, which, of course, would affect everything below us, AND we would potentially land someone of a better caliber at a higher number than 31.
So other than for shits and giggles, what is the point?
I dont watch enough college football.
Not feeling the Darius Robinson @ 31
Larry I respect your opinion, but your draft doesn't make sense. No way we go 1st two picks on DL. We need ol and Cb. The 1st pick needs to best availability Ot or guard. I'll even go BPA and even if that's a WR
Yeah, you lost me right off the bat. A shutdown corner, who shouldn't be available but is and a tremendous offensive tackle on the board and you pick edge... yeah sounds about like what lynch would do! Why do the 49ers hate offensive linemen? Let's get a few backups in the 3rd and 4th round forever!
Larry I believe you are much better at scouting than I am, but can't pick dline with the first three picks I know we need dline but need to spread the young talent around this would be a mistake drafting like this
Larry I love your mocks but I’ve been a fan of yours but Niner have never pick up any of your guys
Is this an early April Fools joke? D-line with the first two picks then an injured Ivy League O-tackle? Ugh
Ellis is good. He wrecked the Pac 12 this year
jesus fuckin christ I really hope you're wrong larry, OL needs to be addressed with at least TWO of our first three picks. Figure out the damn defensive line in FA, way more proven DL talent worth signing vs OL, also Trent isn't getting any fuckin younger. this shit is not rocket science.
I like going defensive are o line made it too the super bowl there not that bad tbh
Larry looking to lose in the championship or superbowl again. Offense line been a issue for years
Trade up and get future T and get G in. 2nd rd. If niners trade 3 1st rd pick for bust QB you better trade up to get T now
Dont draft another Mc as OL. Doesnt turn out well.
But… a degree in sociology
He must not watch college football
NO OLINE????!!!!!!!????
We also need to drive speed on offense and defense
So, this is a Deep OL draft, so we don't draft any until DEEP? Makes sense, might as well start Jimmy G so Brock doesn't get hurt. 🤕😆😆😆 So dumb
Krueger what are you talking about , You just futuristically doomed the whole team and draft with this nonsense of a mock draft, we need old line we need old line we need old line
Bro, your lack of oline concerns me. Makes me think you dont understand our oline situation! follow me if you like 49ers.
Practice Player of the week? I didn't even know that was a thing.
Yep, every year someone surprises at the Senior Bowl. This ward highlights that player. It's definitely a thing.
So there’s no blue chip offensive lineman at niners first two picks? 🤔
Unless one of the top tackles falls to 31st. DOUBTFUL??
At 98 I would go Corley from South Carolina
31st pick. Cooper Beebe G Kansas State. Don't want to hear the bullshit. You don't draft guards that high. Tell that to the Cowboys. They at one time had four first rounders on that line. Dak's rookie year. Might have been his best year too. Just imagine Brock with a oline like that. So again draft Beebe 31st. 2nd Rd. Zak Zinter. Plus theem both right in. They are both plug and play players. Better than anyone the niners have now. Including Banks. Plug Beebe into LG and Zinter into RG. Bet Brendal and Mckivits both will be better too. Trade Banks He was over drafted anyway. We all know it. So do Lynch and Shanahan.
I disagree about Banks. He had turf toe for a lot of the year, and at the end was having a hard time anchoring, so he was getting pushed around. I don't want to make excuses for him, but it was clear he was healthy for only about half of the year. I love the principle of building around a tough-as-nails O line, but turf toe is extremely painful and debilitating. Just ask Patrick Willis.
The next thing I'll add is that there is no way in hell the Niners are ever going to spend consecutive 1st and 2nd round picks on interior offensive lineman, even if they should. They just don't value the position enough and Kyle thinks he can scheme around it. They also have six free agents on their D line, and probably won't sign more than two of them to come back. So you know at least one of those first two picks will be DE or DT.
Last thing is that, while Beebe and Zinter are both really nice guards and are both super nasty and strong at the point of attack, neither is really a zone-blocking scheme fit. Beebe especially doesn't have the lateral agility or foot quickness to operate well in space. Both of these guys are more power/gap scheme fits. Banks was similar when they drafted him, but he completely changed his body in the year he "redshirted." I don't think the Niners have the luxury to redshirt their first two picks in this year's draft.
Yeaaaaa boooooy lol let’s goooo
Malik Washington reminds me of Debo!!!! YAC I think he would fit right into the scheme
We need good route runners. No more Yac guys
Love the Robinson pick Larry.
This would be perfect
You're ok with the 49ers biggest weakness not being addressed until the 4th round?
I’m talking Michael Penix
😊😊 You really know the players. But have to know current rosters n salary cap too. Who replacing now or future. (Contract status). So many D-line picks. Many to replace. Kinlaw, Young, Gregory. Maybe, Ferrell n Hargrave? Even Armistead? Need run stuffers n pass rush. But numbers games? Need uprade defense, went from #1 to #12, was it the scheme or roster. Too many rookies starters, might mean some struggles earlier, till learn to work together. Many O-line is good, but again, can start or just be backups for now. Again learning curve if starting rookies. Something, Niners don't do much. FB for juice, cheaper, but better? More speedy WRs, replace Jennings, Deebo n Aiyuk later. Speedy LB is good, Warner n Greenlaw contract up in 2025. Greenlaw has injury too. Need an RB, replace Mitchell?, Price? More speedy CB, replace Thomas? What about Safety, Huff injured. Contract yr 2025. Need younger, better, n cheaper backups. Team is getting old. The SB window for core might be closing, need to rebuild the core on defense n offense. Good draft. Need to refresh coaching too. 2 SB losses to same team. Different rosters. But same result. Why? Play to win, or play not to lose. Keeping it close, gives Mahomes a chance. Miss those blowout like the Walsh SB era. Where was the creativity like in Eagles game. Or adjustments to the Chiefs man coverage or blitz. Hope, the draft brings the new spark that Niners seems to need to get over hump, like SYoung, get than monkey off the Niners back.
Leary sucks
