Lasse Lau - Sound from the Hallways

The film was shot at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo in autumn 2011, with post-production completed during his artistic residence in Lisbon, and will be premiered at this exhibition. This work documents the atmosphere of a unique museum -- one of the most visually dense in the world -- before it passes into history, since part of its collection will later be transferred to a new building. The film highlights exhibition display systems from the early 20th century, when history was still seen to be universal and people believed in a single truth for many histories.
