  • Today we're looking at the Mixtile Core 3588E, a new SOM from Mixtile based on the RK3588 SOC. This powerful SOC on a 260-pin SoDIMM module makes it a great alternative for edge computing.

    I would love if you rebuilt your camera slider now

    I purchased the fanntik screw driver you recommended. Were you able to find drill bits that fit it?

      No sorry, I'm not aware of any drill bit sets that would fit.

    Please try it on Turing Pi 2 if it is compatible.

      Sure, I'll try it out this weekend and let you know if it works.

    Yet another RK3588 plus popular AI topic that was raised few days ago by Raspberry, the only one that don't include any NPU in SoC. Rockchip has small NPU in RK3399 pro few years ago, sadly NPU driver is still not open sourced, altjou some work (reverse engeenering) is done now for RK3588.
    If You can check several things with this board, I have those:
    + Is 2.5G ethernet available?
    + M.2 should have 4x lanes of pcie 3.0?
    + Is pcie bifurcation working?
    + What kernel version was used for those tests?

      Since the Core 3588e is a module, a lot of the IO depends on the carrier board it is connected to;
      2.5G Ethernet can be made available if the carrier board supports it (The A206 does not).
      Storage is the same, it can utilise up to 4 lanes of PCIe 3.0 if the carrier board supports it (The A206 does not).
      Yes PCIe bifurcation works
      It is running Ubuntu 22.04 using kernel version 5.4

      @@MichaelKlements The real problem is that so far none of carier boards supports 2.5G and probably same for pcie. I'm not sure if it's carrier board design or it's limitation of this kind of connector that was designed for jetsons. The fact is that even very expensive boards like turing pi 2 cuts some i/o and probably it's just better to buy SBC with right ports. RK3588 is bit ahead of it's time. If we will get something with 10G same thing will happen.
      How did You tested bifurcation?
