@@King-nh4nk yeh the rotors are great hoppers they will work good with your gs just watch it if you go to indoor fields Bc they love to munch on re balls. I got a tfx the first version.
I have a mini GS and a vmax+. No problems with it so far. Shot a whole pod in fully automatic ROF set at 15bps and it didnt break paint or jam, actually it never broke paint or jammed in the 8000 balls I shot through it so far and I shot both Valken infiniti and graffiti. The only bad thing about it is that it uses two 9 volt battery, but thats not much of an issue, Im on still on the first set of 9v and I have about 30-40% battery life left so it gets maybe 11000 balls a set of battery.
I have the LTR and it jammed a few times but nothing to really complain about. I had it on my GS and it worked very well. But if I had the extra cash at the time I would have gotten a better one for sure.
I have a dye rize and needed a hopper on a budget. Got the V-max and I'm extremely impressed with it. My buddy has the halo 2 and jammed a few times where my V-max didnt jam once.
I've got an okay mid range setup -Valken Proton -Halo too -68/4500 tank -Valken MI-9 -Tippmann pod pack (3+4) -Exalt Elbow pads -BDU pants w/ built in knee pads What now?
Rate my gear/ advice: I have a proto maxxed rize, prophecy z2 and also need to buy a ninja tank. My choices are 50ci peanut and the sl 77 v2 or v1 reg. Thanks
My wife surprised me with a new Mini GS. After watching this review, what hopper do you recommend now that it has been about 3 years? Thank you for your time and great videos!!
being that the z2's are going for like $80, I think we can agree that is the best choice to go with a Mini GS, though I used a Valken Vmax 2 on my Rize and it kept up like 99% of the time and saved me like $50+
I had a paintball recently jam in my Empire Z2, I keep the paintball. It looked kinda like a large mentos. I just bought a Dye LTR so I put the paintball in the LTR and it never jammed. I put the mentos shaped paintball in the old Dye Rotor and it jammed. Each time I put it in the old Rotor or the Z2 they would jam, but in the new Dye LTR it would not jam. The New Dye LTR has the R2 drive in it, much better then the old Rotor. If Empire still owned the Z2 and had the same warranty I would say get a Z2, but not now that GI owns them. The Z2 is not as tough as the LTR it will break, you will end up buying parts.
Should I get a z2 for my dye czr rise? I'm getting back into the sport trying to save some money though and it's been like 10 years so I'm not sure on the new gear
Have you tried hammerhead barrels at all or are the just hype. I ask because my dads minimag had a rifled barrel with marbalizers and could shoot cups.
I just bought a mini gs online, should be here in a week or so, anyways, I was wondering if you think it would be a good idea to take it apart before I use it and lube all the o rings and parts, I bought some vitamin e marker lube also, I want this gun to last as long as possible, I see there are some videos on taking it apart too, also if you could make a video taking it apart and explaining things about it and showing what to lube and what not that would be appreciated. Or even if you reply to this. Thanks!
I still go with the ltr over z2. the z2 is going to to be discontinued soon if not already. good luck finding part in a year or too. Contacting gi-sport they will probably upgrade you to the lvl or downgrade you to the halo too...
I really want to get into paintball but it is quite expensive specially here in Canada for example a new mini gs is supposed to be 300 but in Canada I saw a new one asking for a 500$ price and well that’s a price that hurts my hand specially since I’m in university so what do u guys recommend for a maybe 300-400 dollar set up including a mask, I was thinking of a used proto rize and see what else I can find
I know this is an old video so no one will see this but has the z2 been discontinued? They are only 80 dollars now. Just can't justify paying 250+ for a slower, bigger and more complicated loader.
Any recommendations on air tanks? I know you explained the difference and sizing, but are there any notable differences between brands. I am looking to upgrade to a ninja 68ci/4500psi
The vmax + max feed rate is 15.5 bps. Ive counted. I would replace the halo with the scion and the vmax with the pinokio (either model). The scion and pinokio are easily the best sub $100 hoppers on the market
Most players using a one piece barrel are magfed players who use most of the time either 690 or 691 barrel bore so it doesn't need something like a Freak kit.
etha 2, gtek, etek 5, reflex rails are essentially DMs without an lpr, JT impulse is a very high end marker that was discontinued and sells for $500 new. If you go used you can get most of the DMs, egos, geos, shocker rsx, for around $500.
FaZe Mouse Etha 2 is new and very solid for $400. Umm axe 2.0 if u want that axe platform still. there's a few others but those are the first two that come to my mind just cause they recently came out
Zach Chirch yes and I know about those but seems like everyone is getting an etha 2 and it looks to plain the axe 2.0 I don't see anybody buying it and it seems like there is a reason of that
a few other good ones for maybe a bit cheaper too is the Proto Rize Maxxed, Dangerous power G5 Spec-R, And if ur willing to spend the lil extra I love shooting the axe pro. (I personally shoot the rize)
FaZe Mouse I also feel like no-ones is buying the 2.0 just because people like that etha2 platform so much and they are pretty much the same price so more people are going with planet eclipse
I think people are mainly buying the Etha 2, because Planet Eclipse made it. The Etha 2 is also whole new gun while the Axe 2.0 is just a refresh of an old gun. If you want better than the Axe you have now you are going to have to look for something used to stay under $500. I would look for a Geo 3 or Geo 2
For the most part as long as you stick with stuff that is under $55 you should be good. I would just try and stay away from the super high-end stuff with the G5.
Not really, not a good way anyway. I just forced the Session into the vent slots and shoved a screw through lol. Its ok, but you just end up see a bunch off hopper when shooting.
I am getting into paintball but I don't know what gun to buy. I like to shoot fast like in speedball but I like woodsball fields. What do I do??? #PBQT
Play scenario events or something like the UWL. You don't have to have a "tactical" marker to play in the woods. Most "speedball" markers are more consistent, reliable, air efficient, and lighter weight than milsim style stuff anyway.
If you want a tactical style speedball marker then the gog g1 with the black heart board is a good choice. Its basically a gog extcy speedball marker with a tactical body. You can also choose if you want the hopper on the left, right, or in the center. Its quiet, smooth, and efficiency is pretty good for what it is
You could, but it would be much louder as the backs are not ported, and you'd have exposed threads that could be damaged and make it impossible to attach the front again. Not recommended.
i wanted to get a halo too for my new mini but the guy at the paintball shop said the gun is too quiet for the hopper to start cycling the balls, he recommended the vmax instead. has anyone come across this problem? and which do you recommend for the gs? he had the vmax in stock but not the halo so im wondering if he was just trying to make a sale.
#PBQT (Or anyone willing to answer) GTEK 160R, Geo 3.1, M2, Axe Pro. I'd probably buy the first 3 used cause I'm looking to stay in the $400-$700 range.
