I absolutely love the reading of the lyrics that interprets it as being about their relationship with being and idol and parasocialism. Another way to see it is as dealing with dark parts of yourself. Then of course there is the toxic romantic relationship but I think it's just one way. I do think fear is unique, generally even though they alway try different things they're pretty optimistic (lovely woozi, except when he was in his depression ballad era) and/or energetic, not like fear is slow. But if you ignore the b-sides and the songs you've seen its also a bit of rock, edm and some smoother songs.

Seventeen is kind of broken down into 'freshteen', 'darkteen', and the musical theater kids of kpop. Freshteen is the uplifting and boppy songs like mansae, pretty u and aju nice. Darkteen is their more mature side in songs like fear and getting closer. The musical theater kids of kpop is most of their songs but really shows in homerun. For seventeen, you can pretty much find something in every album and amazing performances for title tracks! I can't wait till you get to their b-sides, personally I think thats where seventeen shines their brightest!

Fear is certainly a diff vibe from "freshteen" most of their "darkteen"/sexy/dark songs are often bsides or unit songs so there's that i think you can react to a shorter guide to seventeen??? (maybe others can suggest) just so you can have a baseline for them and then react to the long one when you're more settled in or when you've reacted to most of their title tracks
