They just gotta mirror the pipes so they're on both arms, don't know if they'd be able to bulk his body out while still fitting inside his vehicle mode.

@@saygoodbye-sfm Via extensive retooling and reshelling it. Remember, Studio Series TF5 Drift? Hasbro inverted its transformation. So they can alter it’ll have shorter lags and a bulkier body.
Or maybe it can be a partial with shared engineering. (aka mostly a new mold with borrowed parts and similar transformation)

Y'know, they could just heavily retool the current Legacy Bulkhead into TFA Bulky. Hes already almost there. Hes already a great representation of Bulkhead from both TFA & TFP. So..ya. All they have to do is retool the chest, give him a new head, new deco, & maybe a little bit more retooling. & done.

Mixing my 2 favorite things. Transformers and Space. This is an instant get for me, and I'm so glad he turned out to be a good figure aswell.
For a Prime without weapons I hoped he would have more articulated fingers to make him more expressive. Still, really impressive figure.

I have a copy and though a bit more color seperation could be added and it has no weapons, its great. This is the quality I look for in transformers similar to the red volvo. If it was 65 I would get 2. 75 is pricey but with 2 licenses as mentioned by you, I understand. As a Prime fan, I wouldn't miss out on this unique version.

I miss when collab figures were original characters and not just Optimus Prime with different clothes.
Like, the BTTF x Transformers collab wasn't Optimus Prime as a DeLorean, and the Ghostbusters x Transformers collab wasn't Optimus as a hearse...It just gets kinda tiring seeing the same dude over and over and over again, y'know? Like sure, I get that he's basically the poster child, but come ooooonnn,,,

I really like this mold. A retool of this mold would work really well for an Earth mode (which she didn't have in comic) of Proxima from the 2005 IDW Continuity.

I feel like this would have interested me more had this been an original character instead of shoe horning Optimus Prime in. On its own it did look like a cool toy (and your video confirms).

As a massive space nerd (I learned how to count backwards from ten before I learned how to count up) I've been debating picking this guy up ever since it was revealed, but wanted to wait until reviews came in. Glad to hear it feels as good as it looks!
Side note, Takare can go fuck itself for making the version of this figure with the stand cost 210 dollars. With that money you could buy almost three copies of the regular figure. That's MP-44 levels of overpriced bullshit.

While the figure itself is nice, it would be much nicer if this figure comes with his iconic ion blaster to protect himself. Otherwise, I would get this figure on discount. Nice review btw!

Does the silver thing on the back of the vehicle mode actually serve a purpose, or is it just there because it’s on the original concept?
As for it being another Optimus, personally, I would’ve made it a different bot so that the red and blues don’t stand out against the vehicle kibble, like maybe Prowl or Ultra Magnus or something.

Cool Optimus Prime. Nothing else to say, really. Hes cool. I like his botmode. His rovermode is cool, too. The altmode works really well, tbh. Probabaly not gonna get him, but still, I like him.
Also..........Astroptimus Prime...or Cosmoptimus Prime.......or just...Space Optimus Prime...

I just went to my local toyshop last week and they just had him there, along with Missing Link Convoy, on the "New Arrivals" table as soon as I walked in.

This is a cool one off design for Optimus Prime. Chest transformation definitely borrows from the Legacy Laser Prime. I can totally see this being retooled into an Animated Bulkhead if licensing isn't an issue.

Not gonna lie, it looks fantastic but I still wish it was Soundwave as the bot mode. Just swap the head with a Soundwave head and color the red parts blue.
If it wasn't so expensive I'd already have one...
Imagine hasbro has a retool planned for this already cause they try to maximize their molds. Like what if this was used as the base for a beast hunters prime and they redid the back kibble to create wings.
I wish this were an original character like the Jurassic Park crossovers instead of just Optimus again.
This does look cool as hell and fun, but it's a missed opportunity to not make it Ratchet! The white wouldn't clash with the bot mode parts, and this alt mode would suit the character very well.

@@Alzeal07 No, hes probably the best...at least for now. SS38 & the Bayverse ones are pretty good, but SS102 is just overall better. (don't have any of them, tho). SS86 Optimus will probably be another good SS Optimus. I'm fully expecting him to be better than KingRise Optimus, but not _THAT_ drastically. KingRise Optimus is already _SOO_ close to perfect that it'd probably be really hard to improve upon _THAT_ much. SS86 Optimus _WILL_ be better, but not _THAT_ drastically.

The colors and the non-lunar rover bits kind of give me Ultimate Avengers vibes, with how they’re darker and rougher.
If 75 looks high for this, his version with the stand is over 200 on BBTS and, as far as I know, only has the stand, no other special features for the figure.

It's a shame every tie-in has to be either Optimus or one of a tiny handful of '84 characters, because this would have made a pretty decent Countdown too-rover altmode, satellite dish kibble, bits kind of resembling his forearm guns... change the head and some of the more Optimus-y details, swap out the blue for red, and you're set.
Give it Ultra Magnus colors and I'd throw money at it. Collectables are a lot more appealing when it isn't a thousand of the same character

I would get this if it wasn’t Optimus Prime. I know that sounds dumb because it is. But I wish this alt mode was used on someone else, like Cosmos or Countdown.

That is genuinely one of the nicest non G1 Optimus Prime designs I've ever seem.
I’ll go for the megatron gijoe tank before this because the price of this is way too much, this price is like what a masterpiece costs and I’m pretty sure it’s not that good 😂

I understand why, but I don't like that this is forced to be Optimus Prime and not a new unique character. It is nice that the Back to the Future car and the Ghostbusters car were not forced to be established characters.

So many of these brand crossovers wind up being Optimus that I never feel the need to pick one up. Like, if this had been a new character, I’d be all over it. But as it is, it’s just…kind of boring to me.
