Damn. I was an hour into trauma work and while i was focusing on a deeply painful sensation in my lower back, out of nowhere "took a leap off of the precipice" came to my mind. I didn't even remember this song, like it wasn't even consciously registered. So i looked up precipice on spotify and thank god it showed up. Only when I played it did I recognize it. I had so many negative emotions attached to this song from when i was 10, it definitely pulled on my heartstrings. At the time I was told by everyone around me especially my dad I wouldn't amount to shit. i'd play it over and over and over i guess crying to it, resonating with all the words, but blocked it out until today. I remember when I thought I looked it up on youtube it would have like 500,000,000 views because in my 21 year old mind it must have been really popular for me to know it so well. I still don't remember all the context behind the song but it brought up crazy emotions and somehow I still know every single lyric to the song. It was a huge part of my life but I blocked it out until now. Trauma work is crazy. Thank you for your beautiful song. It really helped facilitate my healing during a difficult time

Classic Crime you mean so much to me! A had a dear friend that introduced your music to me before she went on to be with her Lord. She was a wonderful soul who became friends with everyone she met. She always shared your music and her love for life with everyone. We, who were close to her still listen to your music in the car and sing at the top of our lungs, just as she would have. Thank you for your dedication to to music that never fails to amaze and lyrics that keep people pushing on.

This life takes a toll on one's soul with so much and it sucks. Like that's what matters the most, that supersedes everything. Perhaps the greatest accomplishment that one can possibly achieve.
My favorite thing about the classic crime is how they change styles and are still amazing on every album. I usually dont like pop (this album has a little bit of that in it) but thats mainly when it is unintelligent sounding (which this album is NOT). I also love the straight forwardness of the lyrics. And to too the package off, I live near seattle, so they are the perfect band for me. And, I am ANGRY and I am at a complete loss to how they havnt had HUGE commercial success, but I guess fame has never done any good for a person so its probably for the better.
i ask myself that question every time i listen to them. their music is incredible. i don't understand why more people don't love them as much as i do. i guess most people don't understand good music when they hear it haha
