Cant believe old mate threw back that Gold Spot, at that size they are a seriously good eating fish, he obviously hates them , going on his very poor release😌
I like to call them estuary trout mate and they are great eating yes, but we had a plate full of fillets from a couple of days before so live and let live this time 😉
I’ve found the gh like that in tinny aswell it’s so good when there like that we just burn 20 gram gillies threw them at full speed aye and they smash em caught like 10 a session last time all meter long
In my opinion the Current media and past trend is to blow spots up and pete is not the usual RUclips flog trying to be the next i fish you fish tv. Look at Arno bay in south Australia which was known for its massive snapper (90cm plus ) 10 years ago i fish tv and many other shows blew the place up and the local charters reaped the reward with flocking travelers from Victoria etc... now the big snapper are gone ,its illegal to fish for them and the local rec fishos have to fish for whiting. Nice work Pete👍👋
Thanks Jim! Hard to keep everyone happy. Blowing up spots…. Not showing enough….. Could have not put gh in video but want people to know what’s possible in tin can. Anyways, cheers mate, appreciate the positivity mate!!
Well said, have same problem on central coast and they start winging that there is to many boats on water and can't find any big fish. Put up the drone and show everyone .
I get the whole modern trend “hide the view” thing, to “protect” places from the crowd, i guess, even though you’re just a visitor. But two things: it makes for a far less appealing video overall, visually. The camera down thing is extremely uninteresting. And also, hiding the exact spot doesn’t mean you can’t describe the area in general terms, such as talk about water depth, if its a sandy bank or more coffee rock as before, or even further up or down the inlet. Whats the tide doing? Ive never caught a big GH, would love to. I don’t need to be lead straight to spot X to do it, but gee it’d be nice to look for myself if i knew what to look for! This is what the fishing print media used to do but modern digital media fails dismally with. So yeah, good fishing, for you, but overall the vid is pretty disposable imo.
Gh was a only a part of the video. I have done a podcast with DOC lures specifically on how when and where on targeting giant herring that you might find useful mate. I go into details in depth on the podcast mate.
Awesome content, keep doing what your doing Peter..💪💪💪💪💪💪
