Cannot believe no one has commented on this video. Osage orange is possibly the best wood for knife handles, Extremely dense. I have even put handles on folding pocket knifes.
I am in the process of turning a gavel and sound box. Be careful sanding if you push to hard it WILL burn. Good vid.

Great tool handles as well. Iv made a few axe and hammer. Embarrassing to say in my ignorance I made a sledge handle out of white mulberry. I was thinking the whole time "man this is carving way easier than i remember" . Lololol

Man I wish I could put a pic on here. Made a custom stainless chefs knife and sheath out of a solid block. Grain matched up 100%. Beautiful. Also grooves into the wood example finger molding makes this smooth rolling wave effect also made some on the sheath matching the geometry of the knife.

Osage orange is wonderful stuff but it’s not Bodark- it is beau d’arc. It works nice when seasoned. I own almost 1/2 mile of it. I’ve made a longbow, some knife handles as well as hammer and axe handles.
