Severe storms punished parts of the Concho Valley Wednesday afternoon, including numerous reports of hail around San Angelo and Tom Green County and a confirmed large tornado which stayed largely over rural areas of southern Sterling County into northern Irion County. There is another chance for storms early on Thursday morning, perhaps developing before sunrise in the Concho Valley then moving east and out of the area before noon. After that, hot and dry weather is expected Friday through Monday with high temps hovering near 100 each day.
