There are 59 beads in a rosary (a typical rosary that is a third of a full Dominican rosary). And there are 170 beads in a full 15-decade rosary). Anyone count better than I do?
There *are* 108 beads in a mala, used in Hindu, Sikh, and possibly some sects of Buddhism. But I guess those are less comparable to the number of stitches and the Church of Baseball. None of them have anything on the major religion where I live, though--the Church of College Football.
Ron Shelton acknowledged, in his recent book about the making of Bull Durham, that he was wrong about the number of beads in a rosary, which he learned after the movie was out. He acknowledges, in the book, other mistakes in the script.
I dont know which is better, the "People Will Come" monologue or this one.
But I know which one is sexier.😂
I am one of the extras at the concession stand…!
There are NOT 108 beads on a Rosary.
I would not know....but that's poetic license, man.
She may have just counted it wrong. You try counting something to 108.
