Some other interesting fluff: The taxonomic nomenclature for the Sangheili species is Macto Cognatus, which means "I glorify my kin". The reason being, that as a feudal clan society, the Sangheili are very ritualistic when it comes to their bloodlines and families, and it's believed that one's blood contains one's honor. This is also why, in the games, they will often become enraged and charge when their shields break, because the thought of a human spilling their honor pisses them off a lot. It's also believed that a drawn blade is hungry for honor and glory and demands blood, and Sangheili will typically not draw a blade unless they intend to use it to spill blood. So, by Master Chief picking one up and drawing it, he effectively said "I intend to spill your blood." to which the only honorable response is to take that as a challenge and respond in kind. Back in the Halo: Reach days I used to be in charge of a Sangheili clan. We would get into scuffles, or "raids" with human clans in custom games, and if one ever obtained an energy sword he would be spared weapons fire and one of ours (usually me) would go down and duel them. I haven't seen season 2 yet but seems like they should've just called this series Halo:ODST. They got Master Chief without his helmet and even without his armor so often he might as well be just an ODST troop instead of a Spartan. Or maye a Spartan IV at best.
The lack of ejected spent brass in this series annoys me to no end. Fake muzzle flashes is so 2000s, like that low-budget Starship Troopers sequel which used LED flashers in the rifle’s muzzles to simulate weapons fire.
Even if ONI have left Reach with all of their valuable assets they could take with them; including Silver Team Mjolnir suits, and leave the stranded inhabitants to die. I wonder if Halsey can do something about the missing suits. If she helped develop enhanced suit technology beside the Orion II project, then she could maybe pull off something; provided the time and resources?
It’s not super combine, this is accurate…in halo the flood a single shard of the Needler impact in one of the soldiers that masterchief had in his warthog and destroyed almost his entire muscle from his arm plus the shards that got inside started to penetrate and causing more internal damage and the soldier went into shock…so yes the Needler in this scene is accurate
At least they got one of the pauldrons right also there is some gold trim in the arbiter’s armor it’s good to see some diversity in armor but it still somehow looks too similar to the minors armor in this show man I really hope they don’t kill this arbiter off, and hopefully we get to see the great schism
Well…they did some justice to the honor guard armor in season one in the last episode so maybe they’ll fix up the ranks to show which is which at one point
Spinning around someone while behind cover? BR’s fully automatic? (I know they can do that but why? A lesser elite taking a higher ranking elites kill? Not only does MC not have his helmet but his armor too??? Wtf!? This shit just makes me sad.
If you pay attention to the games, the needles always explode, but only super combine from multiple needles. If you shoot Marines with the Needler, they will get hurt from single needles popping.
So let me get this straight. I don't have context for this scene but I'm assuming the Spartans got grounded for doing some dumb shit and that's why they don't have their suits, that or the budget couldn't handle any more cgi in their big cgi fight. But Chief decides to run into a horde of covenant to fight 1 vs 1 with an elite, without any shields or protection, is surprised when he gets shot by a plasma pistol, point blank, which should kill him. Then the chick he banged in the first season spawns in miraculously to to stop him from getting stabbed to death and is there for no other reason, the other spartan dies because Chief is a dumbass and left cover to have a sword fight with an elite and he had to go save him. Then when they have Chief dead to rights they... walk away? "Ok guys we killed one spartan, time to pack up and go". I also find it very convenient how all the jackals and the one other elite of the 3 in this scene magically disappears, maybe he got killed of screen or in the background, I can't really see. As someone who hopes to get a job in the film industry one day, I'm finding myself to have a more cynical outlook on films these days, just because I see basic failures in writing and continuity of shots in modern day media. The covenant chick is here for no other reason than to save Chief, you could remove her from this scene and still have the other spartan come to save him and die while him and the other Spartans push the enemy back to protect chief and it would still have the same impact. Not just have the enemy walk away while Chief is lying on the ground drooling like a toddler because his work buddy exploded.

The stylish reload from chief 🙄 good lord
If I knew nothing bout halo I might Ave actually thought this was pretty good
I haven't seen season 2 yet but seems like they should've just called this series Halo:ODST. They got Master Chief without his helmet and even without his armor so often he might as well be just an ODST troop instead of a Spartan. Or maye a Spartan IV at best.
The halo series is awesome! And the fights are even better!
Hold up if that’s arbiter the predecessor of the one one we know from the game lore that is crazy
The lack of ejected spent brass in this series annoys me to no end. Fake muzzle flashes is so 2000s, like that low-budget Starship Troopers sequel which used LED flashers in the rifle’s muzzles to simulate weapons fire.
Just fucking why do they keep taking chief out of his armor
Even if ONI have left Reach with all of their valuable assets they could take with them; including Silver Team Mjolnir suits, and leave the stranded inhabitants to die. I wonder if Halsey can do something about the missing suits. If she helped develop enhanced suit technology beside the Orion II project, then she could maybe pull off something; provided the time and resources?
We'll just have to wait and see in the next episode
Arbiter 🔥
chief loves spamming this move at 0:39, he used it against other elites
They must make a Lego set of this with marines and the aliena
No way that shit supercombined with one needle
It’s not super combine, this is accurate…in halo the flood a single shard of the Needler impact in one of the soldiers that masterchief had in his warthog and destroyed almost his entire muscle from his arm plus the shards that got inside started to penetrate and causing more internal damage and the soldier went into shock…so yes the Needler in this scene is accurate
That plasma shot is 10000% fatal against flesh wtf are they doing
Is this the same Arbiter from the game or a different one.
It's other Arbiter, he is not Thel 'Vadam
Until I saw Makee ordering the fucking arbiter around I was thinking ‘shit this actually looks better than S1’
the show did a better job at giving elites justice than 343 did, lmao
It is really interesting to see Spartan 2s fighting without their armor.
Blamite is a hell of a thing
Spinning around someone while behind cover?
BR’s fully automatic? (I know they can do that but why?
A lesser elite taking a higher ranking elites kill?
Not only does MC not have his helmet but his armor too??? Wtf!?
This shit just makes me sad.
why does a single needle from the needler explode?
Single needles still shatter but they dont do that like why do they screw up such simple stuff
If you pay attention to the games, the needles always explode, but only super combine from multiple needles. If you shoot Marines with the Needler, they will get hurt from single needles popping.
Single needles explode some of y’all clearly didn’t play the games lol
@@PsychH0e- apparently you haven't
@@warbeastprime1287 how so? they do explode on their own after a few seconds, just it doesn't seem a big deal because, you know, we're wearing armour?
Watch the show and you will understand.
@@neo_one8667 Started watching angry joe's reviews for the show and I'm not really hearing good things about it tbh. So I'm not about to spend money on a subscription service to watch a show I don't think I'm gonna enjoy. If it gets good in season 3, when we actually get to the halo part of halo, I might go back and watch the rest of it to catch up, but right now, all I'm hearing is that this isn't halo. I think a better premise for this season would have been to leave the cliff-hanger of whether chief is dead or not from season 1 and follow noble team for most of season 2 and have it show chief in a cryo pod on the Pillar of Autumn at the end of the season on their way to halo, emphasising that chief has been recuperating for the whole season and ready for season 3. I just don't know who this show is supposed to be marketed towards, because as far as I know it's not pleasing fans.
@@kylesimpson9282 angry joe in 2024 lmfao. opinion = discarded
@@kylesimpson9282They don’t have there suits because ONI thought it was a good idea to take the suit which only Spartans can use when there’s probably less than 10 in this universe. This show is really a parody at this point
Vanak should have taken out like 3 elites and then get sworded by the arbiter. More badass death. Instead he charged with a needler like a noob
This is what no having seen the rest of the episode looks like:
It works in the games but not real life
he took like a few jackals before. And then went out like a bitch... @@ParagonGoetia
I hope the arbiter from halo 2 will join master chief
Best episode of the second season
Gets hit with a plasma pistol. Doesn't get injured. Or I'm guessing u could set it to stun😂😂😂😂😂😂. God this show.
I had to pause the show when Vannak died that shit hurt man
I haven’t seen the episode but is there a reason why his team is so hesitant to help?? I understand this is a different universe, so I won’t compare blue team to Solver team, I just don’t understand what’s up with all the fear. Riz seemed scared as hell and didn’t really take the initiative to back him up. Don’t get me wrong I know Spartans are not immune to fear, I just don’t get how Riz is freezing up here.
Look I get that the series isn’t the best, but it’s got some good moments. I’m just hoping it’ll get better.
The whole damn tv show with master cheeks NOT wearing his helmet, making whoopee with an alien girl, having some kind of emotional Chip, and becoming a WOKE TURD deserves to be off the air forever. Never did master chief justice. Need a three part movie, and maybe Peter Jackson directing it.
Wow, this looks like hot garbage. I can’t think of a good reason for them to be out of their suits other than “the actor’s ego demands they show their face as often as possible”. The fights don’t make a ton of sense either, but they did get the energy swords right and the beheading was in character
It was only one needle- needs 7 or more to go kaboom.
in halo the flood a single shard of the Needler impact in one of the soldiers that masterchief had in his warthog and destroyed almost his entire muscle from his arm plus the shards that got inside started to penetrate and causing more internal damage and the soldier went into shock…so yes the Needler in this scene is accurate
Lol, i refuse to believe this Arbiter even trying to hit the Chief with his sword, look how he aim far to high
I hate the silver timeline but that Elite’s armor looks kinda clean
