How delightful to have a husky who not only walks next to you and knows his name, but also one who doesn't chase sheep...
Most of the horses will just be fine and ignore you, but it just takes one encounter with a grumpy horse to make you worried.

The horses are mostly scared of people but they get motivated to be around the cars as people feed them.

Feels like those horses indeed encircled the van to say hello and apologize for previous bad behavior of some of their herd. The colt’s playfulness and sheer beauty was delightful.

When you were lounging in the van after your walk, I was just thinking the same thing, Jamie, (about how lucky you are)! You have practically everything you need right there in your cozy van: Food (that sandwich looked yummy! It looked like some sort of egg salad?), water, coffee, shelter, a lovely view, and a faithful Fluff by your side. What a good life it is =)

Evey time you guys are out there on the moores I keep expecting to see a carriage being waylayed buy a highwayman. Or a chap in a deerstalker hat using a magnifying glass in search of clues. I may be watching too many period dramas produced in your country online.
Poor Sherpa, can't go anywhere without his admirers finding him. Even the beautiful horses came to apologize for their cousin's rude behavior. The colt was beautiful, and it looks like his mum is expecting another one. Sherpa's table manners are better than most people's I could name. This excursion highlights why Sherpa can out run Key and Nook.

What's so pleasing about your videos Jamie, is that you really appreciate your situation...your environment, Sherpa, the van etc. It's all richly deserved and nothing to do with luck because you've worked hard for what you've got and learned to crave very little else. You're content and happy just as you say at the end of this vid. The sky is beautifully moody. Looks a bit too warm and humid for me, but still beautiful.
Sherpa is so fit and strong from all the beautiful hikes. Such a calm, happy boy 😊. Glad you took the long way around to the van but so nice to see the horses and gorgeous view from inside the van. Bless you both 🙏🏼💙

Lord Sherpa, while on the hill, was looking over his realm. Can’t blame him though, that view overlooking the water was lovely!🥰. That tree really did look like a bonsai tree out on the moor. Were you tempted to honk your horn in the van while the horses were standing in front of your vehicle?😂😂

@@sandyr4656 Bees are pretty chill unless you poke their nest with a stick (I know from experience from the one time when I had a very bad idea as a young boy and a very stung and itchy bottom as a result)

I love the area, you can tell that Sherpa feels very comfortable there. Horses are beautiful animals, but if I had met them I would not have moved an inch😂. Sherpa stayed calm anyway, you have a good knack for dogs Jamie, Sherpa is so good ️😊❤️

If anyone was out on the Moore, and heard Sherp’s howl, they would think they were remaking An American Werewolf in London. ‘Only People Allowed’😂. Beautiful scenes, especially when there’s a handsome doggy in it. I was glad when you both jumped in the van after ‘Ponygate’. The foal was very cute. I love the cosiness the van gives

There is alot of history! I was told by a fellow Hungarian who worked with Keith to do your homework about what truly is a Hungarian not Germanic or Slavic either!! Did and was shocked 😲. What a beautiful day for Sherpa. See the little colt -or filly- canter up to its mother near the van and imagine these ponies taken away to the mine pits. I was shocked as a child when I learnt this. Today they are protected and the nightmare is over.

Whenever I hear mention of Dartmoor, I think of the Sherlock Holmes novel The Hound Of The Baskervilles which is set in that area, not far from the prison which is also mentioned in the novel. I read all the Sherlock Holmes novels and stories, and have the complete collection in two volumes. Great reading. Over the years I have read The Hound Of The Baskervilles several times.

I've been on many trips up to Dartmoor especially to Princetown then down to Tavistock, I'm glad those ponies didn't go after you too but they have the right to roam, you van is very handy for sherpa to snooze in after a grand tour of the moors
Those horses weren’t studying you. If they had it is because that mother horse was great with colt and had a colt at her side. That horse family were just having fun. You had a fun day at the moors.
