This really just aches me, think of what 2042 could have been. I don't mind the specialists, it's a decent system, but at least make their personality more realistic. 2042 could have been a battlefield with a dark and gritty theme just like V or 1, maybe even darker. But instead we got simple 2 sided commanders whose breifs don't even sound genuine. Lore that isn't seen having an effect in the battlefield, and a movement system that makes this game feel more like MW2 than having some more controller-based combat. The game has its fun moments, but we got an aesthetic that was more "Rip n Tear fun shoot and blow em up" than "You're fighting a losing battle to try and save humanity, think carefully."
These sounds may not depict world of 2042 but i think it shows us the world of 2024, i always got saddening listening to this and after that i always think, how can we stop something like this to happen. People losing their homes, soldiers which are just still a baby for their mothers losing their limbs, devastation of civilization, all of these natural disasters. I sometimes think like " come on this is just in my head there will be nothing" but when i look around and i see that, these imaginations in my head are not only in my head they are also in future waiting for us to make stupid decisions again and again to show up and create irreversible results. I wish to the person who is reading this my best wishes and i hope one day we will make this planet a better place, but not today. Until then, be safe. And i also hope there is someone who will read this...
2:05 From this onward, minus the news broadcast voices, shouldve been the official battlefield 2042 theme. It captures the sense of fear and dread from a dying world because of climate change on the verge of a world war and still manages to sound like a futuristic battlefield song.
You are only able to watch it once as a new player of the game. Like how Bf4 had the badass intro before pressing play to the menu button I wish they kept it in BF2042 after you've entered the game for the first time.
99.1% pure.
Hand Sanitizer vibes.
You're goddamn right
Dude I can barely notice the voices GOOD JOB
Also can you make a secondary version without the news reporters
@@mimic1610 No. For the overall listening experience, this is the best version I can offer.
This track always haunt me because it’s a call to the future.
We are fucking doomed.
It’s so cool to finally hear the intro music on its own like this
lowkey one of the most scary and beautiful tones I have heard.
why does the best track always have to be an unreleased one? 😞
Why couldn’t they just make a campaign for this man
We got one in real life.

It's... beautiful. It rivals even the best of the orchestra scores from 1 and V.

It's unsettling, no doubt. All I can advise, is to get skilled up in multiple disciplines, it may become useful.

Theme of 2024
Would be epic and dark at the same time...
Switch around that 42 on 2042. The coincidence is sorta uncanny too.

Has some elements that remind me heavily of 2WEI - Circles, great track and potential for setting the world building
I think your spot on there mate, they used songs from emergence, that album clearly affected the route they took for the soundtrack
