You're most welcome. There is a cat with ALF it's a cat sandwich top left on the back of the box. Oh and you missed that The Spider is written by Superman creator Jerry Siegel.
That's a lot of books. Happy birthday!
I read “The Exile” by Erik Kriek and it was absolutely awesome. It reminded me a bit of “The Northman” film in terms of setting and tone. Kriek’s other major book “The Pines” is also something I’d recommend if you’re a fan of his distinctive art style. It really makes me think he uses linocuts/woodcuts, but really he’s just meticulous with his pencils and his colors.
I read it last week and loved it!
Shout out to the "living the line" channel
Very interesting
Button Man is great. It’s the sort of thing you could imagine would have won awards over at Image but because it’s relatively hidden in 2000 AD, hardly anyone has heard of it. The series was also optioned at least once, but I’ve no idea if that’s still a going concern. The book you have is still in print too, if anyone here is curious.
I appreciated how Orlando did some deep dives with Wonder Woman like introducing Baroness von Gunther and Mayfly into modrrn continuity.
I didn't expect it, but I enjoyed Orlando's WW run. At least I liked it better that G. Willow Wilson's (who's writing I usually love.)
Cheers on that Flash haul, I've only read a little of Joshua Williamson's run but the Wally West stuff by Jeremy Adams is excellent. I think you'll really enjoy them.
Congrats on getting the Uncle Scrooge Life & Times by Carl Barks. I have that same book, it's unbelievably great.
"That's straight up one of the stupidest concepts for a book."
Dude, that's Spider-Man.
This is true. :)
Oh, the feeling when you fill up a gap in your shelf... I know the feeling, and I agree, it should have a word for it. "Orgapsm", "gapfillsation", "satisfafillsation" or "Ifinallygotthebooksation"...
First one for sure
It's nice, but in the case of Epics I'm just annoyed they forced me to wait. I prefer chronological releases 100%.
@@marcelo-ramos I understand, and if I could choose, I would choose the chronological release as well. That being said, we can't do anything about it, so we'll have to find joy in filling the gaps.
Still no New Mutants OHC. I don't collec them, but interesting the second title written by Hickman wasn't in OHC.
I dont understand the hype for Flash by Williamson, the writing was okay and a lot of the art wasn't very good.
Very glad the Scrooge: His Life & Times book that I sent got there. I hope you it's worth the wait!
Luke Kirby is fantastic
The segment that brought me to the channel. I'm glad that you still do these monthly.
Those black and white Titan books look great!
If an option I'd personally vote for a Namor reading order but I think that would be a rather difficult undertaking.
Love the type of matte paper dc has been using in their collected editions lately.
About the "extras" being at the start of the book in The Exile... that's a very BD thing to do. I have the Blueberry and Comanche Omnibuses (Integrales) and they have all the information, extras, and what more at the beginning of the book.
Thank you brother!
Hey Omar, the Wonder Woman through the years HC has one or two issues not collected anywhere else (that I know of). You might need it if you don't have it yet.
Omar you don't hnow how lucky you are to get the flash volume 12 it is insanely hard to find
You should consider getting the uncle scrooge tales of bear mountain collection. I haven't got it yet myself. I personally passed on the scrooge anniversary volume, too much double dipping.
Are any of the stories in Bear Mountain reprints? Or are they all unique never before printed stories?
I just finished Count Crowley: Reluctant Midnight Monster Hunter and would recommend the series. It’s one of the last things I bought since trying to get my reading pile down. It was mountainous. The last volume of Urusei Yatsura, recent Fist of the North Star hardcover release, Vol. 8 and 12 volumes of Suzuka by Kouji Seo were reads I completed in the last week. Onto more great reads. Also should add from a previous haul you did, Kali by Freedman and Sammelin I finally got around to reading was great. I do keep in mind what would interest me from your videos which offers plenty to read in the comic world. Adding Button Man on my reading list. Thanks.
The post Death Metal DC era, after Future State, was called Infinite Frontier. Now we're in the Dawn of DC post Dark Crisis. Great video, some awesome books this month!
G Willow Wilson's Wonder Woman run was good stuff until the end. I got to discover Xermanico's art in some of those issues. I was annoyed they put all her WW in HC except for the last volume.
Lol, thanks for the mention. I just want you to know that my correcting your pronunciation of comic creators' names was never meant to be mean-spirited. I consider it "helpful trolling". 😂
I found WW by Wilson, Orlando and Tamaki quite disappointing.
Any opinion on the Joelle Jones volume, I'm kind of interested in her writing/art.
Yup the book has been bad since ruckas rebirth run ended
Injection and fell by Ellis are the two series I want finished.
Love the haul videos. I've been wanting to get back into reading more current dc stuff, but they do not make it easy to figure out what the order of the books are haha.
Hello. I know this is off topic but I was wondering what the difference is between the large tpb’s of knightfall and the omnis. Do the trades only collect a select amount or do they collect the same as the omnis? Again sorry for asking just curious.
What a month! I love these videos so much.
You have a couple of Flash trades by Jeremy Adams that came after Josh Williamson’s run
It’s a great book so I recommend checking it out even before the Williamson run
Look at that bounty
My friend, you are a great collector, let me first state this. I live in Turkey and I try to make a small collection, but since we are in the middle of the economic crisis, even red meat, let alone comics, is considered expensive and luxurious for us. If you have any extra or troublesome comics, I would be grateful if you could send them to me. If you don't want to send them, thanks anyway. With love...
❤
This new colors in Uncle Scrooge looks terrible.
Wow! There's NOTHING in your March haul I would pay to read.
My March haul was better than yours Omar. Maybe April will be better?
I’ve never met a man that doesn’t appreciate a good Duck story from one of the greatest.
@@NearMintCondition Lol. Well hello there, it's nice to meet you.
Lol now to go back and read Duck comics
@@NearMintCondition Naw, I've still got books I haven't read that I want to read
Or that brother. :)
I’m voting for the miles morales reading order. Because I gotta know what ultimate Omnibus I need for a perfect reading order
