Those Dr. Strange Sorcerer Supreme books are way under appreciated. They are strange and interesting, often super sureal. I recommend to anyone who has a love of the strange, weird, and psychedelic.
That Wolverine by Millar Omni was too damn expensive for me at aftermarket prices, so I just got the two separate OHCs that make it up. One of the few times I felt totally justified in buying smaller hardcovers instead of an Omni.
And dude, Humberto Ramos's artwork was/is phenomenal! He's on my top five Spider-Man artists, no matter what anyone says. I'd love to get an Omni or OHC of his artwork alone.
Wow! What a great haul Omar ! I’ve always been a fan of John Romita JR’s artwork . I became a fan when he did the art on Daredevil. Also loved it when he did the Punisher War Zone! I was a big Punisher reader in the 90s and I loved Mike Zeck’s art . I used to get Deathstroke when he was on there . So many books you showed got me excited and I’ll be adding them to my list of books to look for. I wasn’t a big fan of Red Hood for awhile but, I picked up the series when they added Artemis and Bizarro . I enjoyed reading it then . I’ll didn’t know about the tales of the Dark Multiverse. I’ll have to look for those. There I go spending money again . Lol Thanks for the video Omar ! Loved it !
I wanted to add I got the Justice League deluxe edition awhile back , but I had to have the new 52 Omnibus too . So I completely agree some books are worth double dipping and quadruple dipping .
yeah! please do green arrow reading order! i just started to collect green arrow comic books. i like your reading order videos and i like green arrow, so it will be awesome. great video by the way.
I really like the new 52 red hood series’s art too. I hope to get vol 1 and the possible vol 2. I bought the green arrow death do us part today as my introduction to green arrow comics.
I love hearing about quadruple dips man. I will unapologetically dip all over the place for the books I love (Saga, Gotham Central, Black Magick, etc.). Please continue to do it yourself so I don’t feel alone!
Omar, great haul as usual! I also have a question, I cannot find the Matt Fraction Uncanny Xmen collected anywhere! Will there be a chance Marvel will reprint?!

Ni9ce video man! I've got my eye on the dark tales of the multiverse book myself. Quick questions, I can hardly make out the ocarina of time theme song playing in the background, it's really subtle. Is it intentional?
OOOOMAR!!! So jealous of that Absolute Arkham Asylum pickup!! I've been holding off from collecting that one for years (lost track of how many). I got as many of the Absolute's as I could possibly find. As a fairly casual comic book noob, Batman is the only character that made me go "MUST. HAVE. ALL". Either due to scarcity or being broke, I've slowly been collecting batman books in their Best Editions due to FOMO. THIS has been the one that pushed me closest to the edge of just giving up and submit to the scalpers (I thought this was never coming back) So PLEASE someone out there, Give me Hope! Give me some sliver of a reason to have faith this will be reprinted (sometime before the next decade). Don't let eBay win!
Your Monsters/Hulk backstory is mixed up. It wasn't a Comics Code issue. Wasn't intended to be part of Bill Mantlo's Incredible Hulk run. It was a separate Hulk OGN that BWS was working on, probably gonna be in the Marvel Graphic Novel line. Based on the timeline as it's understood, it probably would have come out well after Mantlo's run ended actually, maybe past Byrne and into the Milgrom or even Peter David eras. He had a green light from Jim Shooter to keep working on it, and was doing so slowly. Mantlo apparently saw some early progress from it in the office, then decided to basically "lift" the ideas for Incredible Hulk #312 toward the very end of his run. Which is the issue where it is revealed that Bruce's father was abusive. This obviously pissed off BWS, so he pulled it from Marvel and that starts the path of him drastically reworking it and working on it for years. It's hard to exactly attribute motivations for why Mantlo did that, and it's a little complicated to discuss nowadays given the tragedy he went through and that he can no longer share his side of the story. But Mantlo had a reputation, especially in his earlier career when he was mainly doing fill-ins, of plagiarizing plot ideas from TV shows and other sources. Or maybe he thought he was being clever in the Marvel tradition by connecting to it with continuity. Hard to say. But he didn't communicate as such with Smith of course. BWS also went through another wave of disillusionment with corporate comics in that era, after weird stints with Valiant and Malibu, following his years earlier frustrations with Marvel over Conan. His book Adastra in Africa, also published by Fantagraphics, has a very similar backstory, originally developed for X-Men as Lifedeath III. Jim Shooter has gone into detail about the situation on his blog and others have discussed it through the years. In other notes... Elsa's second artbook is out as well. She initially runs them through Kickstarters. Melanie should follow up with her to see what collab can be done when a next one kicks off its campaign. We *better* get more of Impulse. At least the Waid run, c'mon DC. And ditto there really is a need for new printings of Winick's Green Arrow run proper, though myself I have the earlier editions. That era is my definitive one for the character by far.
Currently reading Absolute Y the last man and I’m gutted. The binding of the first book has completely come off. So scared to read the others is case the same thing happens!
I got the Sider Gwen omnibus and am enjoying it very much. Would like to here your thoughts on Monster-it’s never to late to talk about BWS artwork. Collect art books and their being different sizes doesn’t bother me. The bumps in the upper corner drive me nuts. Who sent you the Art of Samurai Showdown and how did they package the book? Great video and thanks for sharing.
Omar, that small Jamie Hewlett version has the exact same amount of artwork as the big edition, the bigger version just has it all laid out in fewer pages. I ordered the bigger version after instantly selling the smaller edition (which is actually also missing some acetate artwork in the back with sketches in them.. if not mistaken) and I don't regret it, Jamie's art in such a small size is just a pain and a waste to try and digest (imo)
I read the first 10 to 12 issues of Jason Aaron's Avengers. I found it to be quite boring, total dissapointment. As soon as I saw the TPB covers issue, I checked the ones I had next to me, which were the Green Arrow/Black Canary TPB, Jason Aaron's Thor CC 3 and Loki Agent of Asgard CC... Turns out the 3 of them have the same issue 🤨.
The best thing in your haul is MONSTERS. Please do a review of it. Would love to hear your thoughts on this masterpiece. It's just as powerful as Maus.
Does anyone know if the Spider-Man blue paperback marvel did back in 2011 like the reprint if that sold well because it's been a while and I'm wondering if they will ever reprint that? Thanks
It took me a little while to hunt down the green arrow and black nearly original trade paperbacks at least the later ones and I wouldn't be surprised if the an answer second volume for that run who is and I probably paid a bit too much for them as well I suppose that's what happened in this hobby
@@NearMintCondition they are so bad with shipping books. Can’t tell you how many I’ve had to return. It has to cost them more than just using more bubble wrap.

Some of it is sent to him to preview and some of it is paid for out of his own pocket. I'm sure his channel generates money, but not enough to buy the huge amounts of stuff that he features on his videos.
I never put any books that companies send me like Marvel, DC or IDW in my hauls for example. These I've bought myself. So I have a budget every month. I sell things the month before to adjust the budget and then I buy what I can without dipping into the "responsibilities fund" House payment and groceries. Never have I ever done that, nor will I ever. I've just been really good at saving, budgeting and selling to fund other hobbies since I was a kid. Also since this is full time, every purchase can be filed as a tax write off....and Lord have mercy that's pennies on the dollars, but hey when you own your own business, every little bit helps. Also helps to donate books too to schools or libraries.
