One of the best battery drain tests done on RUclips because it focuses on taxing the CPU and GPU and shows which smartphone lasts the longest under heavy load. Great job Guys.
It has been very obvious for sometime what the best phones are for battery. For gaming the OnePlus, for video the Galaxy S line and for normal use the iPhone. For many of us over-30 who do not watch media or play games the iPhone does the best as it also has the best standby time. But the teen market that maybe watch media on a phone (too small display for me and poor experience) Samsung's are the best and OnePlus have always killed Samsung for across the board optimisation; Samsung currently sucks at 120Hz, a very poorly implemented feature not fit for purpose, and no surprise they are scared of allowing QHD with 120Hz. Saying that, they are all pretty great and for most of us (average user) would get us through a day.
The reason y OnePlus gets better battery in 120hz mode is because the screen refreshes at 120hz only when user touches the screen, or when any other operation is performed. When viewing a static webpage is instantly goes back to 60hz saving battery, while s20 series are locked at 120hz throughout.
