Nice trailer! I still look back on this show with fond memories. Christopher Bevins was wonderful to work with as a director and the American casting was awesome. ‘Easily one of my favorite animes to record for of all time! Thanks for making this! :)
I got into recording music, vocals, instruments, mixing & mastering when I was 23, and the after about a year of doing that I couldn't get out of it fast enough. I just couldn't handle the all the Divas and the "Prima donnas" we would have to deal with regularly… I really think I should have been recording for a different medium
Wow I just finished this anime and it’s easily one of my favorites of all-time. It’s funny, for years I heard people give this anime a bad rep just because of “mechs.” But after watching this series their criticism is soooo wrong. It’s a damn good anime, and even if you don’t like mechs, (which is typically just group think,) they play such a minimal role in the series.
Agreed again! This is very professionally done and worthy of the DVD and series. Someone ought to hire you. The scenes, timing, voice overlays and music raise this series to the feeling of a movie. Bang up job!
I use the dub versions to appeal to Americans so Anime can keep spreading. People would much rather just watch a video rather than read. I myself watch Anime subbed, dubbed or raw. It's a great art form that deserves to be watched subbed or dubbed in my opinon.
Anime wasn't made for you to read text and not focus on the visuals. Never get why weebs rage about this, modern dubs are if anything better than the origional as they use proper voice actors.
@@silver4831 What animes have you been watching? Dubs are not that great. Yes, there are absolutely some Gems for dubs like Fullmetal, Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, One piece toonami version. But it's just absurd to say modern Animes are better dub than sub. This sounds like a person with a cursory knowledge of a topic making a very seasoned/verteran level claim. @@silver4831 The problem is you just don't get that feeling from every dub, believe me I've tried. @@Shadow-gm9ct Ehh, maybe but probably not the people who mainly do majority of the dub voice acting are the same people so instead of using native English speakers or even search for new people we hear a lot of the same voice. This is by far the best trailer for this show I have seen (though, to be fair, this is the only trailer I have ever seen). Either way, it is perfect. It captures the very essence of what this show is about, especially with that bonus clip at the end. Good job. I'm going to show this to my brother to see if it can get him interested in this show.
Its actually a pretty slow moving anime. But it's an original spin on an old story, and you get attached to the characters. Which makes the ending so epic.
Oh man this anime looks amazing!!! How have I not heard of it! My favourite old Western (The Magnificent Seven) is based on the same storyline but with gunslingers. They're even making a new version of it this year!
The trailer is spot on. Although there are many futuristic elements involved in the anime, you can feel the essence of a samurai story. Glad that I watched it. And by the way, Kyuzo is the best!!!
@TheBoomboomboomboomb Easy--village of farmers has trouble with bandits who show up and steal most of their food. Rather than lay down and die, the village elder sends off several villagers in search of samurai to defend them. The number ends up being 7 of them, thus the title. This anime was adapted from Akira Kurosawa's 'Seven Samurai', a movie from many years ago. Having seen the movie and this series, I can say they did an outstanding job of it!
I adore this trailer, but I must say that I am disgusted by all the snobbery I am reading in the comments. There is a dub and some people watch it. Get over it, guys. I run an anime society in Wales and we have a policy of treating sub and dub fairly and we vote on whether we watch in sub or dub. At the moment we are watching 4 subs and 2 dubs. I like to give dubs a fair chance with the subs and hate it when people don't give dubs a chance because they "were not the original format". Honestly, I'd feel cheated if it was. Besides, there are certain things that almost HAVE to be seen in dub, such as "Hellsing" or "Hetalia", Either way, I think it's unfair to prejudge a dub and I know; I've had to face enough dub/sub snobbery over the years just because I refused to show all subs or all dubs in my society. You still get the same story. I do not see how it matters,
I totally agree on Hellsing and I think Samurai Champloo is very well dubbed also. Do you have any anime recommendations to someone who has fairly recently entered the world of anime? I've seen death note, bebop, hellsing ultimate, samurai champloo, bleach, full metal alchemist, dbz, attack on titan and naruto. I'm mainly interested in the type of series that have just one single, fantastic, masterpiece season, like Hellsing, death note, bebop and champloo.
OK, I've got a few here that I'd recommend that are only one season long... There's "Soul Eater" (51 episodes) which is a nice mix of action, humour and emotion, so I always recommend it at the society a lot. Also one that came out a few years ago called "Puella Magi Madoka Magica" (12 episodes) which honestly I came across thinking "Oh look, another Magical Girl anime. Well I need something to mindlessly enjoy until I find something else." It lied! I'm not really one for Magical Girl Anime and this one was just brilliant, but the DVD looks really out of place on my shelf as it's the only thing that's up there that's pink... Although one of my favourite anime is one introduced to me a few years ago called "Noein" (24 episodes), but as a warning you have to pay attention or you're going to lose the plot pretty quickly. I hope that's useful for now. These ones aren't overly taxing and are a lot of fun to watch. I hope you enjoy them.
FlyingFocs Looks interesting, I'll check it out at some point. I've watched recently Hunter x hunter, which was super good, Jojo's bizarre adventures, really good too and Tokyo Ghoul, also really good. If you haven't seen all of these you should most def check them out!
I wasn't going to watch it at first. Seen a couple of vids but, I just wasn't biting the bait. Then whoa... don't know if i just like dramati music or the way you did this.
I discovered this show on one of the pages of the Anime Insider Magazine around when it first came out. I thought Katsushiro was one of those cool samurai girls at first so I had to get the series. When I found out he was a boy though, I wasn't really surprised just a bit disappointed. It would have been cool if they made a series with a confident young female samurai protagonist though lol. I get annoyed watching series where girls are always weak sidekicks.
lorkshun it’s more annoying to see a female protagonist with the attitude of a man. Lol it’s unrealistic to see female samurais or gladiators Spartans that shit is so cheesy.
