@@KLGamers I have a question. There is no HDD in my HP 290 G3 - just a Nvme m.2. I want to add a 2.5" ssd into where you have that 3.5" hdd. Can a 2.5" ssd be inserted in that hdd Bay without needing a 2.5" cage / extra bracket?

You must remove orginal DVD-Drive and use "HDD SSD Caddy adapter for laptops" replacing optical drive with hard disk 2,5 inch. For using DVD buy external optical drive connected by USB port if needed.
This computer can run 2 x 2.5 inch HDD and 1 x M.2 SSD drive. Also PCI-X to M.2 converter propabbly wil working, but better use this ports for graphics card.

some M.2 SATA SSD chip version not compatible with the desktop. If so go for the M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD Models

You need a graphics card to play games , your computer is small form factor so need low profile ( LP ) graphics card, so the MSI GTX 1050 TI 4GT LP Graphic Cards will do

HELP! I have the same PC and I have tried twice with W.D. SATA M.2. SSD with and w/o NAND, none of them worked on this HP or in other HP mobos. The disks seem to be working fine because I tried them in a Gigabyte MOBO successfully. Please, KL or anyone, let me know what specification the SSD must comply in order to work with an HP MOBO!

U clearly have no idea what's going on, what he removed was the hdd holder, the power supply is at the bottom
