Not only that, there was one bot that actually works by literally grabbing the opponent and then burns them while they're still in their grasp, the thing apparently fried the opponent's circuitry within through the gaps in the armor, so take that Nagzz
If I remember correctly, there is another death not too long before the ending. It’s been a few years since I played the campaign so I can’t remember it clearly, but it was a good story
TL, DR: Fire itself is useless, unless you can keep it on the opponent for long enough to heat up the metal. The fire as it was used in both videos Nagzz watched was in fact completely useless. But if you can pin the opponent down, or grab it like Kraken does, then you can keep them in the fire for long enough to heat it up. That can mess up wiring, overheat batteries and electronic components, and deform the rubber tracks they use on the spinning weapons as a way to make it slip out of place.
5:54 in fights against robots with armor I think fire using a liquid rather than gas would be more effective, it would be able to stick to the robot and seep inside it, sort of what they used in war.
Boy this round of react and laugh was a freaking trip and a half, I mean if I had've been smoking some whacky tobaccie ( I've never seen that particular term for it spelled out ) I probably would've been on a full three trips watching this segment
There have been a few times that I know where a flame on a bot has damaged the opponent to the point of it stopping working.. flames help overheat things like the speed controllers which usually only last a single fight because they burn out anyway
If anyone is interested in a robot that uses a flamethrower to win, look up “complete control”. Most robots use the flamethrower as basically a fun gimmick along with a big hammer or something, complete control basically scoops up the other bot, holds them in the air, and scorches it with fire. If the inner circuits overheat/melt, you lose the ability to control it. If you can’t control it, you lose.
lol ahhh yes, the time honoured tradition of 'the pony jar'. even in elden ring. in my opinion, when you learn about it, you become a whole new person, like a coming of age type event and you get a +10 defense against other cursed images
As a southerner that is quite realistic. Also it’s a southern thing is a sketch comedy group that make fun of things that real southerner’s do on a regular basis.
At a guess I'd say a low-grade flamethrower like that wouldn't do much to the wiring and rubber on the bot simply by lack of exposure. The flame would need to be concentrated on the machine for a substantial amount longer than seen in any of the clips, requiring both combatants to stand still, more or less. Now there'd be ways around that, such a jelly-fied fuel and a high-pressure projection unit, but I feel like bringing a _napalm launcher_ to such an event wouldn't really be in the spirit of things.
Seeing the Southern bit video near the end of the video is the reason why I don't make fun of any(and I mean ANY!!!) other individual's accents, dictions, or languages in any demeaning way. Cause this...'sighs'...this is exactly how I talk and sound. Heck. I just came back from work. And every single driver I sign in and meet look and think that I'm already from the deepest parts of the woods and I must have a farm with livestock all-round. I mean. I do. I have cows and chickens. Hate pigs and goats though(dang critters). And I live..in the woods. BUT I do NOT let them know that. They already acknowledging everyday that I must be from an island cause all the southerners there around everyday sure as the sun don't like me.
Wait.... how will the flames mess up the wiring again ? Like, yea sure the outside of the wires are built from plastic, but the wires themselves are made of copper....... Just look at how long the flames are in contact with the robots. Useless. It's more likely to damage itself
The beginning😭 and I love watching Battlebots; great times. Also, James Lee does fantastic work, making himself an animated character.

The keanu skit , the movements of the judge character where so strangely hypnotic
that last one was almost believable until the blue cunny part lol
Puppet gash was what tipped me off. Just one line earlier, lol. British slang is fun.
I've never even played that game and the first clip hit hard. I can only imagine what it'd be like if you went through the whole campaign

That scene in Infinite warfare and the extra dialogue from E3N broke me when I played it. o7
Ah, yes, sounds like a great parody movie. Ball Witch Project.
Infinite Warfare wasn't the game anyone wanted or asked for, but it really did have a good campaign. E3N was the best part of it. o7

Basically lsd laid cigars
It was really neat, reminded me of some old rat cartoon

Wow that Elden ring impression was amazing
It's the actual VA that did it

tbf, southern cooking is gooooooooood
Bruh, as someone who has lived in the south his entire life, that Southern-itis clip fucking slayed me.
The vine booms freaking killed me dude kekw

"Why would you shave your nuts in the dark?" This is a very important question.

Is it illegal to use napalm on a robot?
I know the southern guy with a beard in the bank video. His name is Matt. Really nice guy and funny as heck. Love his videos on its a southern thing.
Never thought I would see one of their skits on here though lol

Well the only thing I could see where fire could be useful is if you used it to melt the opponents wheels and kept them from moving.
nagzz if you want to see a match where a flamethrower worked, look up complete control vs bombshell
Watch bombshell vs complete control. The fire does actually do something
the infinite warfare story was good idc what people say
It's really freaky how I always know 1 or 2 videos in every Nagz react video (excluding Vtuber)
I thought about going on an all-almond diet. But that's just nuts. #ballwitchproject

If the plasitic melts it can expose the wires and the exposed wires could cause a short or something like that
@@sonnybro3915 how long do you think the flame has to be in over the wires to melt the plastic to begin with?
@@sonnybro3915 Heat resistant cable insulation exists, if they wanted to protect their robot against flames it's quite easy (but expensive)
Heat is quite damaging to metal. When you heat metal up it will expand. This can cause undue stress on metal cause it to weaken.
Watch complete control vs bombshell from around the 1:30 mark to see flames actually working. It is on the abc youtube channel
Who’s the tool that said, “My pp accidentally sets things on fire too?”
Infinite warfare might’ve had a shitty online but god the campaign was nice
