Hi Sanjit - quite a few of us told you that you were way out on Leonard Williams' age and projected contract numbers... 1 year $6m was never going to happen, but even I'm a little surprised at the 3yr $64.5m he got from Seattle! I was thinking we could have got Williams for half of Wilkins' money, but with those numbers, I'm glad we got the better player 😃

Christian Wilkins is the reason why Clelin Ferrel shined in Clemson. He will make other Defensive ends look better. Maxx Crosby might have 20 sacks next season.

Wilkins 0 pro bowls 1 season with 9 sacks multiple seasons with 2 or 3 sacks sounds like Warren Sapp all over again dude got paid way to much with stats like this.

Tyree looked more than solid the second half of the season. Heard he’s at the practice facility training in the offseason as well. The trenches are a bloodbath for offenses next year.

This guy had like 98 tackles in 2022, Maxx had 90 this past season. Shit is bonkers. Aside from losing Jacobs this is the perfect start to free agency. Always wondered why nobody's given Mindhew a shot with teams like Pats, Jets, Steelers, Titans, Falcons, Broncos, Comanders still not able to figure out the position. Always thought he could be more than a really good backup. He's that Snake type moxy and poise and he can create off script.

Thanks Sanjit, I knew Wilkins was a great player, however I did not know he played so much 1 tech. Especially on pass downs. That means we can have Wilkins and Butler on the field at the same time. Combine that with Crosby and Koonce, and all of the sudden our front 4 is looking deadly as a group.

This is going to be a great group for Tryee Wilson to develop with. We will definitely see him in there on pass downs

Mahomes seems to have a problem when people players come right up the middle.
We do need another CB to put across from Jack Jones. I love Amik, but he is too short and too slow and gets beat too often. I would keep Amik, but I would sign someone like Fuller to put on the opposite side from Jones. That with the addition of Wilkins will make our defense elite.
Raiders have no lock down cbs or depth. They need 3 cbs still ....jack Jones ain't it. Hobbs is all they have raiders dbs ranked 28th....wasting all that money on one player was retarded

Finally we got a DT! Wilkins is beast! GM Tom off to a great start! Big position of need, in his prime along with Max. QBs are now gonna be put on notice. This team isnt even complete but im already excited at the thought of QBs getting sacked all next season.

Each one of these guys by themselves, requires a double team. All together and healthy, this could be a legendary front four.

A lot of those pass play reps # 92 is getting the double team and Wilkins is singled up.
The Minschew signing was a master move for the GM Telesco. He got one of the most dependable and reliable back-up quarterbacks in the game. Minschew was a captain of the team in Indy as a backup. Know he can go out and see if one of the young quarterbacks can fall to him in the second round of the draft. His main objective is to build the trenches with blue chip players. Telesco knows that the top of the draft is not going to go like the experts think. Free agency is showing us this. These quarterbacks are a little above average at best. The best quarterback from this draft will probably be drafted in the 2nd or third round by a team who have players to put around them. Most of these guys cannot carry a bad team. AD and Telesco knows this. This is a WR and D and O line draft. The raiders are creating smoke screens to get the guys they really want. They’ll trade back before they trade up and they will still get Raider mentality players that they want. Physicality and aggression is paramount on AP s wish list. Let me know what you guys think.

Have a very good feeling about the Raiders defense. They might be ranked 1st in NFL this year in terms of the fewest points allowed. Takeaways probably top 5. Pass yardage allowed probably top 3 fewest. Rushing Yards allowed perhaps the top 10 fewest allowed. If their defense is elite plus offense does get going, Raiders may be a team anyone should be scared for opponent to face because of defense.
I hope we pick a Newton, Murphy, or Robinson at 13 or best RT available.

I think Wilkins lasts 1 year before he gets a criminal case in Sin City. He has that kind of personality.
As awesome as it would be if the Raiders could get Jayden Daniels, I'm pretty sure by now there's no chance that's gonna happen. Not even in an Eli Manning scenario will it happen. But I'm thinking that Joe Milton would be a great selection for the Raiders if he's still there at #13. I mean if they really want to get a "future" QB they should bring him in. And I'd take him over JJ McCarthy. He may have been a little raw in college but the guy has an arm and can make most of, if not, all the throws and can really fling it on the deep ball. I may not be a member but I think he's worth a look and maybe even a breakdown video solely based off his performance at the combine.
Great pick up. The Raider play was a great example of my biggest concern with AOC, Here comes Wilkins up the gut pretty much and AOC doesnt scramble out of it. He basically just stands there. Does AOC have ANY pocket awareness. Get on your horse and go to extend the play.

Wilkins is good, NOT top 5 in anything. If you look at things like pressure%, rep win%, etc. he's average to above average. Definitely an upgrade, but no way worth being paid Top 3.
Wilkens is good but he isn't a top 5 guy. He's right outside that. He's 300 pounds he needs to come off the field. He stays out about 80% of the time. Which is a lot for a d-lineman. Wilkins is something the Raiders have lacked for close to 20 years. Like it.
