- A brushing scam is when fake designer goods are sent to you unprompted so the scammer can leave real-looking positive reviews for online shoppers. FULL STORY: bit.ly/3WIgiPY
I got, what looks like, a nice ring (not Cartier) with no information in the mail just yesterday. Thanks for this info. I don’t totally understand the scam but I’m not thrilled to be a part of this BS.
Yes we been getting stuff all month today and yesterday and the day before. I said thanks Chinese Santa 😂
Huh? That makes absolutely zero sense. I don't know what the scam is but I do know it's not to get fake reviews lmao.
What happens is people put their account info into a phishing site and they will use your account to post favorable reviews of their knockoff item listings. Example you get a ring you didn't order from some Chinese seller on amazon, and now that knockoff ring listing more than likely has a favorable review from "you" now saying how amazing and real it is. It's not about stealing money from you, it's about using your credibility as a real account to boost their knockoff listing to where people will see it, and your review, then buy it themselves believing it's the real thing.
@@spctrvlr they don't have to actually send you anything to do that. Much easier ways to make fake accounts and write reviews. And if they already have your info to send you stuff they already have ways to write reviews without sending you anything. Lmao
Also I've been duped by American sellers and products on Amazon and ebay way more than any Chinese products.
The difference is the cheap Chinese stuff are actually cheap. Meanwhile the American garbage are expensive.
@airtioteclint did you even watch the video? Because that's exactly what they do.
No they just use random addresses. It doesn't matter where, just has to be an address.
It's not a scam on you, it's a scam to the website (ebay, amazon). They make fake sales toinflate the number and write fake verified reviews.
Haha I got one . But good luck. I have nothing .
It's not about taking money, genius. It's about using your account info that you probably put somewhere you shouldn't have, to post reviews in your name to boost their listing of fake items.
Fake information why would someone send you free stuff just for review they can just fake the review
I recieved the same exact ring today.
Just got a GRA Moissanite ring in the mail. Weird.
No, they just use random address. It doesn't matter who lives there, or no one lives there. They just get their numbers and reviews up. It doesn't show up in your name, just a random name.
Why is it the Rings are fitting.
They have your Ring size. Who.
I received with my name random cable
I got a generic air fryer...and didn't order it. So what do I do?
Keep everything it’s free the post master said keep it and so did Amazon but they didn’t use my name they used somebody else but my address
