- My hand plane till was a little boring so I spiced it up with walnut.

I never put this amount of work into making my shop pretty, but I appreciate people who do. Your plane till is beautiful.
Very beautiful looking. Well done! Thanks for sharing.
Lots of work but it was well worth the effort. The project came out amazing and there is lots of room for more planes.
Very nice plane till. Also liked the block plane shooting board.
Came for another way to build hand plane storage, stayed for the Transport Tycoon soundtrack. :)
Nice!
Now you gotta get busy and fill that bad boy with tools!
Looks very nice.
Love your style!
Thanks - much appreciated
That cupboard is bigger than my work shed!
great work , i love the look thanks for sharing
Thanks Patrick! I appreciate you stopping by.
Looks like it is time to head out to the stores, flea markets and yard sales because your rack is not full yet :) Nice work, it looks great.
Very true
Lots of cutting small pieces of walnut in order for the bottom to look like a floor. Seems it would have be time beneficial if you would have resawed pieces to fit the spaces between the spacers. Guess you wanted a certain look. But, the finish turned out nice. Pat on the back for that.
nice work and design!
Thank you
Wow... That's a awesome plane collection. Subscribed 👍
Has moisture levels caused the walnut "wood floor" planks to expand and contract and buckle in the tight spaces?
No, so far so good - I'm in a pretty dry climate
lebruh thats like the worst way to store planes it just takes up to much space
Very Nice! I LOVE walnut wood, but dislike the nut ;) What angle did you build your till at? Thanks!
Good question - 30 degrees - thanks for the comment
Won’t that expand and contract
I thought it was going to but it doesn't move
not njce but awesome
Thank you pieter
Couldn't watch because I don't like "wordless workshops" How about a little narration and heaven forbid, some dimensions.
All that work and no spacers under the shoe to keep the blade edge away from the bottom. Your planes will dull or always need to be reset in that unit. Also, why all the hand trimming when you own an incra?
M
There's an art to using handtools, and some like to keep that art alive. I know several woodworkers who don't use power tools at all. They use nothing but handtools to create their masterpieces.
You must do awesome work. Those are great observations. Where do we find your videos?
A blade edge won't dull from being laid down on a flat piece of wood. As soon as a plane is put to work it is laid flat on wood anyways... :)
That's a silly myth.
That’s an old wives tale with no basis in fact.
