You can't leave Albania without to try "QOFTE" , that's the speciality of Tirana . Go in any barbeque place and they will have it .

lol the only thing I'd recommend here is that they should go and try qofte at Pazari i Ri... there's a place out there (I don't remember its name, someone help pls :P ) which is making traditional and fresh qofte... otherwise you might get some bad qofte and you will never want to try them again

Btw “ceren” restaurant is one of the most popular and best restaurants in Albania. I am glad you guys went there. There is also the first restaurant of the Ceren made that is in the mountain of “ Dajt” . I came in you area that you are living rn but I didn’t see you guys there☹️😥. You guys have to go to Mrizi i Zanave and show us a tour!! It’s the perfect countryside getaway and reviewed by many as the best restaurant in Albania...food there is yumm
if you want to go to central Tirana, go to Bllok. The actual center is more of a touristic place, but people from Tirana mostly hang out in Bllok, it’s where you can find the best restaurants and bars.

THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN "BYREK" AND "LAKROR". THE THING WITH SPINACH WAS LAKROR.BYREK HAS MORE THAN 2 LAYERS AND LAKROR HAS A LAYER UP AND ONE LAYER DOWN.JUST FOR NOTICE

Finally you two had a proper lunch/dinner! I was worried about you eating only junk food pizza, byrek(the cheap backery one) and crepes. My advice: Do as my cousins, whenever they come from London they eat a lot of fish because it's very expensive there. Also, when you want to eat byrek go for the real one, the thick one with multiple layers not the flat one they sell on the street. Take care and stay safe!

You should visit Korca ! Especially in snowy days! Dont forget the villages near Korca ,too. Voskopoja and Dardha( for skiing)

I was at Ceren a few days ago. They have a "Standard" that consist of samples of many dishes they serve and then you add your choice of meat 🍖
I was full after me and my girlfriend finished the sample portions... I don't know how you guys did it 🤷

I think that cheese that u don't like it was a fresh cheese without salt.We called it "Djathe Nape".
U should visit Mullixhiu too and try Trahana,Pace,Jufka,etc they will reccomend you the best.
U can also visit Komiteti Kafe-Muzeum,and try some Raki.Berry Raki,or cinammon&honey Raki.Raki it's an Albanian Tradicional drink.
Have u visit "Pazari i Ri"?it's a cool place.
