@@anthonylaudati I respect your opinion KUNG FU FEMMES but I respectfully disagree. Danny was not a bad cop when he was not self-destructing but the problem is he basically spent two and a half seasons doing just that. There was an episode where he even put a case in jeopardy by allowing his anger to get the best of him and beat a suspect. John Clark Jr. was okay but like Danny he also went down a dark path until Andy helped steer him back on the right one. Kelly and Simone were the only two partners of Andy who walked a straight line and did not need to lean on him for anything.
and all I can think of, in real life, the law suits from the traumatized bystanders, the newspaper stories about trigger happy cops never giving those poor guys a chance.
Do you understand how often cops blow people away and it doesn't make the news? It's in situations like this. And yeah, some stories make the news where it's ambiguous or even obvious that the cops were in the right. But then sometimes it's murder or negligence or a fuckup. That warrants examination and there is a legitimate public interest.
And in real life, if they gave the crooks a chance, they'd have had their brains splattered across the road or footpath (sidewalk for our American friends playing at home)
Vince was old school, in a previous season he got into with another female detective because she broke his tit cup. A coffee mug shaped like a women's bust 😂
@@kriscrews1339 I'm aware, that's not how eye for an eye works though, which was the point. Eye for an eye doesn't say the person who attacked first gets to be attacked and then it's over. Hence my point if you think eye for an eye is a good way for life to play out, you have little understanding of life. That said, even under your scenario eye for an eye would mean a response of equal measure. The atomic bomb we dropped on them was severely disproportionate to their attack(s) on us.
Sure, it's entertainment tv, but I cannot help but notice how Bobby fired four deliberate - and highly effective - shots. Compare that with the reality cop videos of today where they almost spray the target with a full magazine of 9 mm rounds.
Jimmy smitts great without a doubt. Caruso lost his looks now...give me jimmy smitts and caruso in 90s..yes !!! Would of loved to see caruso stay with sipowitz..jimmy smitts with russell. Look on asians guy face after the shooting, is priceless !!!

Caruso always wanted to be a movie star, but he was never able to land a lead role. He got the NYPD Blue role off his performance in King of New York, taking it because he thought it would land him a big movie role, thus why he was so fast to bolt after only two seasons. And, as everyone has seen, he never became Joe Hollywood and eventually had to go back to TV. That said, he was pretty solid in CSI: Miami, too.
NYPD Blue is way better than all reality and scripted shows out there right now such as Outer Banks, Love is Blind, This Is Us, Never Have I Ever, The Flight Attendant, Schitt's Creek, Animal Kingdom, etc.. Because none of them matches the drama of this show!!!!

Bobby was a much better partner for Andy than Kelly was. He avenged Andy Jr's death.
Do you think Kelly had the chance to?
I think John Clark Jnr was Andy's best partner.
Bobby, Danny and John Jr were all good partners for Andy, but no one could replace Kelly.
